Cheers all for the replies its much apreciated did a simular test yesterday and it did the same but only with one Mag! it seems this particular mag is a bit worn and inexing a bit on the sosh, you can even feel its tighter when the bolt is pushed through. Have to say Rossy08 you're pretty much bang on . I had a quick read on the Daystate owners club with people having simular problems.. cheers Jasp

I have a copy here gifted to me from Derry Argue a few years back. its got some interesting stuff in it I must admit, some of the older techniques still take some beating. thankfully most of it has been translated as originally it was shakespearian from the "Perfect Book". definitely a old school book worth a read, put it down and read it again a few times until you can remember chapters off by heart, some good chapters on the use of washed meat can still be of benefit today. other books is "A Hawk For The Bush - Jack Mavrogordato". tried somthing different yesterday.. stuck a target 30 metres down the garden and reeled off one Mag into it, the grouping wasn't bad but could have been better. I then did it all over again after fitting the single shot tray and have to say the grouping tightend up with a noticable improvment. to convince myself I then did it again in 5 shot groups and Yep! the single shot tray had the edge . I'm a bit confused about this now! anyone else noticed a difference when shooting single or with a Mag? Jasp

Think you're right there ideation. I have a pcp and a couple of springers includeing the vulcan! the Vulan does feel good when I shoot it although must admit the trigger could have done with being a two stage and a little lighter, the one I have here has one stiff trigger but still gets the job done ...... Good to see the old webley vulcan getting out for a mooch I still have a old one here clocking close to 12ft/lbs. them old webleys and the BSA Mercury and Airsporters bring back some memories

First and formost I shoot Rabbits with a Air Rifle which is why its been posted in the "Air Rifle Discusion" section. No wind up intended whatsoever. I wanted other peoples views on a self imposed closed season leaving certain sporting stock to replenish for further years sport, seems to me most on the thread have the common sense to let some reproduce for futher seasons by useing their loaf. you would think some people would use that bit between their ears and realise they are killing off next years sport! I'm not talking about pest control business here only people who Hunt for sport. My situation is I have some good land with Rabbits in good numbers in parts. last year a couple of lads gained permision to shoot some bunnies which is fair enough due to the size of the land. without being controversial whats your opinions on a closed season for certain species now shot all year round? I know certain pest species needs to be controled through out the year but some need to be able to reproduce to maintain our sporting activities. Just for instance I was given 12 Bunnies the other day all shot with a 12G so all only good for the Ferrets, in the 12 there was 9 milky or Pregnant doe's! the disapointing thing is I know these Rabbits was shot in a area where the population is low anyway, it seems a shame to have knocked them over this time of the year when from a spo
