  1. Cracking Pictures BB! Your lad looks well made up with his new bird . I thought my lad would have been like this! the last bird I took up for him was a male Harris which we went out with on a few occasions and he lost interest , I then loaned the bird out for a couple of years and finally parted with him a few weeks back. when he was about 7 I had a little P/R male 3/4 German Gos I kept back, he loved that bird and crazed me all the time to come with me, now he is 15 its nothing but xbox live and computers and the social networking sites . this was my lad with the little male I was talkin
  2. who ever took that picture needs a medal, its a pretty iconic picture from the good old days , those were the days When we all had somthing to follow, these days they're all cyber kids stuck on these social network sites, most of them have never lived and never will. I've spent most of my lads 6 week Holiday trying to get him off his xbox and computer
  3. I think the falconers got a point mate! trying to enter him on quarry he can't catch before he has any sort of fitness will knock his confidence. seen many times people entering birds on strong quarry only to see the bird pull out halfway through, many times the reponse is to take some more weight off it when its not needed. its like me trying to catch my 15 year old boy in a 100 meter sprint, he'll just demolish me, give me some trainning for fitness though mate and I would hammer the little fooker . Fitness is one of the main ingedients to much success! this and good weight managment hel
  4. thats birds loving it up there with his new found freedom, nice pictures again sax

    Alcohol ??

I used to get exactly the same Bird with different brands! many times I felt I was coming down with somthing feeling congested as if I was getting a cold. its weired as not all Beers had the same effect, do you think its some sort of allergy then to certain ingrediants? I now hardly touch spirits as they makes me feel ill virtually straight away.
  6. The Lad was over today and had his first go at handling it,pleasure too watch it all developing. He had a smile bigger than his face and has all but got the one handed knot sorted out within an hour of trying it. Its been on the scales and had a walk down the village on the boys hand, Im so glad now that we went for a hand reared barny for him. Spot on BB . your lads going to have alot of fun with with it mate. here's a couple of pictures of Ozzy taken by Moll on the site a few years back. Jasp
  7. My lad will be going to Easton College in a year or so time. its litteraly one about a mile from here and by all accounts one of the better one's to attend
  8. Top marks to that Man thats fooking Mint saxon. I must be on another planet to everyone else as I only just read he was loose . All credit to the breeder too mate he's done a good job of his stock, he looks in superb condition and looks what a P/R harris should look like. You must be made up bigtime Billy? I can see a rye smile in your face in some of them pictures which says it all Oi for England Jasp
  9. Are you sure Rossi isn't Matt Damon out of the film the shooter! he's a spitter for him . Looks like a good turn out lads and a great few days together, I'm enviouse Jasp

would be nice to see the pictures but then again not all pictures tell the whole truth unless there some full on action shots, anyone can stick a bird on some dead quarry and say "Look what my bird Caught". I'm sure its not in kevs interests to do such a thing its hard to beleive but then again I can never say never, there's always exceptions to the rule in all these sports. a Pal <Andy Reeve> had a female spars that got off on taking Carrion Crows for fun, ok he was on hand to assist but it had the balls, I had a male 3/4 German 1/4 Finn <Del Boy> who bound to a Hare on a few
  13. Spains deinitely a place to take a fishing holiday http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2031699/Were-going-need-bigger-chips-Angler-reels-giant-185lb-catfish-friends-head-bar.html
  14. Cracking pictures as always Darryl! looks like you all had a good crack again . Not done much with my rifle now for a while apart from popped the odd Rat and Pigeon, I'll be giving it a dust down soon and hopefully getting out with it now the winters here. Probably a silly question but who's who in the pic's username wise? I definitely recognise Davy from previouse pic's Jasp
  15. Fair Points Gnash , different times and different eras. I don't think the hype is quite what it used to be, I remember the Haggler vs Leonard fight being promoted bigtime, these days if there is a big fight on it seems alot more below ground so to speak. It could well also be me as I loved the boxing in the 80's and some part of the 90's, if I'm honest I don't follow fighters these days and have no idea who's who or weight they fight at, I even thought Barry Mcguigan was still fighting . I'm thinking alot of the this Pay to View didn't help matters. it was grand when you could sit down on
  16. the 70's and 80's was exciting times on the boxing calendar. lots of bignamed fighters competeing for less belts about these days, I've lost count how many heavyweight belts are up for grabs these days. plus you got more boxing for your money back then, 15 rounds of boxing as apposed to 12 rounds. lets go back to 82, Leonard vs Hearns round 14, most boxers these days can't go 12 round let alone 14 yet Leonard dug deep and opend up with combinations late in a fight most fighters can't maintain in round 1 . I also can't see any fighters about these days that you can compare to a Marvin Haggl
  17. Lovely to see . reminds me of the old Jackdaws I had as a lad which would follow me everywhere. definitely looks like one thats been lost! the problem is its so tame its going to walk into all sorts of dangers which is a shame. it looks in pristine condition so obviously been in a flight and looked after. bet somone whos lost it would give their right arm to get it back. Jasp
  18. I used to love the boxing back then mate, there's was so many top names about! the heavyweight division was alive as was most of the other divisons. back then if I knew there was a Leonard, Hearns, Duran fight on the cards I wouldn't miss it for nothing, these days I have no idea who's champion of what division! I'm probably getting miserable in my old age but the fight scene doesn't seem half as exciteing as it was in the Leonard era watching this fight again I can't beleive the Docs left Dave Boy Green laying so long on his back after he was sparked clean out, he looked pretty ill after
  19. Text book boxing from Leonard before he finally sparked out Dave Boy Green in round four
  20. yeah I agree! he looked pretty out of sorts in the fight against Hearns. I remember seeing him in the first fight against Sugar Ray Leonard when Leonard try to mix it with him, he slowly took Leonard apart, mind you Leonard gave him a boxing lesson in the second fight........
  21. Anyone fished the River Wensum, Norfolk? or anyone have any idea where to get the Day tickets?, I can't find anything on the net except some parts are free to fish....
  22. one of Mikes more Brutal finishes
  23. Hearns was explosive on this night, mind you Duran was getting pretty washed up by this time.
  24. I have no idea if the bird was killed on that stretch or could well have met its demise on a busier road, somtimes desperation sneaks in when you've been driving around looking for a decent slip and before you know it there's the perfect slip near a roadside, not good I know! but when the adrenlin is flowing many of us take all sorts of risks and regret it afterwards . Hopefully when a tragedy happens we never repeat it. I have a pal who's bird "Bart" starred in a well known Rook/Crow hawking video, He's doesn't fly Goshawks anymore but I bet even now his arse nips when he sees some of t
