I know what you're saying mate . It would be handy if some Falconers on the forum did a peice on Basic trainning, Lamping with Harris's, Rook Hawking or anything that would be of benefit to any newcomers or skilled falconers alike, Anything like this would be very helpfull and will get Pinned at the top of the boards for future reference Jasper

Looks a nice size bird scotlandforever ... I wouldn't count the weight when he had food in his crop mate but would record it the next day When/If it had cast and empty, he could well of had a good Oz of food in him or more. weigh him on a 24hr period, no need to weigh him every so many hours... either way he looks very nice Jasper

Just done it mate and do it every year with a few meets! Not as if this guy needed any help but it was good as he has already mastered his bird, either way it was good to get out with his bird and have some sport for a good few days.... When I started there wasn't any falconers in the Norfolk area so I got stuck into books when I was a kid climbed a few trees and did it myself starting with Kestrals, Spars and a Redtail, I finally latched onto some good old time Falconers at the very beggining of the 90's but certainly had done my homework before then... these days there are plenty of

I have a D22 or a 02 plate. I have had it now for near on 3 years and touch wood its never missed a beat, gone through all the MOT's no problem too.... Its now covered 104,000 I think and don't take a drop of oil, I would be lost without it to be honest... It would be a D40 I would replace it with so I would be interested to here what the problems are with them if someone can fill me in? Jasper

I wasn't going to bother today but I took a look at her and she was keen so I though f**k it and had a quick walk with her over the edge of the landfill. I couldn't beleive it Rabbits was everywhere but all a bit close to cover for a decent slip. I finally got a decent bit of sparce cover in a clearing and one pushed out on its bike at the far end. all in all she did well for a unfit Hawk but she was a good girl without setting her wings once and stayed on it pumping until she overhalled it a fair way away, she worked f*****g hard to catch it so for me that was enough!! she was Knackered a

Its a bit different this is mate!! he suffered a stretch through a Injustice. he has huge right to keep fighting to not only clear his name but also he should be awarded some sort of damages, what he went through was a disgrace and now he wants some justice back, nothing wrong with that hey? Jasper

Its the female off his breeding pair which he had from here about 5 years back!! a guy has offered him decent money for her but wants to see her flown, she came out today and was a sweetheart and don't squark like some Harris's I have seen ..... shame really he is selling her as she is a nice sensible quiet bird..... Been out again all afternoon with her and still no kill!! the best flight was a good strong Cock bird which had the beating of her no problem, the other was a Teal off one of the pits which I thought for a split second was dead on the slip but she clipped a wing on a over hanging willow branch .... the best laugh of it all was Timmy was flying a Harrishawk ... Took "Fanny" out today over the landfill for a hour or so with a couple of lads and she was a gem! unfortunatly she never caught anything and I have no pretty pictures so you'll have to take my word for it ..... Her second slip was on a Hen bird which for a real unfit Hawk she stuck too across the other side of the landfill crashing into cover but lost it, she was f****d up just as I was running like a lazy pig to retreive her :piggy: ! another lad took her over for the next flight and slipped her by accident at one of these pretty big ducks <Looked like Shell Duck at distance>. than
