  1. Well,.the Countryman's Weekly has been well and truly 'bitch slapped ' But,..I am curious as to just WHAT the readers would like to see in this magazine... How could it be improved upon...?... What is the main thing that folk feel is lacking..? Seriously,..if you guys had full control of the content, editorial,.etc,..what changes would you make ? I don't read this paper myself,...but might subscribe if there was more to interest a humble rabbiter... Be nice to hear some constructive views... All the best,..CHALKWARREN...
  2. F*ckin hell mate! That one made me laugh so hard I had to throw my head back to let it all roar out! Anyway, it was a " Ferreters Society " I ran! Few good people spent a long night and consumed copious quantities ~ even while scanning through dictionaries and a thesaurus! ~ to come up with That little seperation from the herd! Blimey, Chalks. Those were the days, eh? F*ckin 'ell! Know what? It's just this minute struck me; None of us has ever produced a bloody son to remember us! When we go, there'll be no one to say, " I remember when my Dad ..... " Or even, " My Dad was ..

  5. spot on snoop i've got copies of shooting news(unpolitically correct countrymans weekly for those young enough to not know.) going back to about '83 if you compared them with the CMW now you'd think lacs owned it . From what I've been told,.... Back in the 'early days' of the S/News x Countryman's Weekly ,.the writers and various contributors were fairly recognisable and couldn't really hide from the folk who purchased the magazine... If they wrote lies,..they would soon be faced with the readers and held to account for their actions. Nowadays, writers invariably use

Fair play to 'Auld Waters',...he set the standard for others to follow,..and by the looks of the excellent and informative posts freely contributed by Woodga and P&G,...he has left his hard won knowledge in very capable hands... Snaring and Trapping is an emotive subject,...if it is to survive over the coming years , it is imperative that any newcomers to the game be taught the right and correct way to use these useful tools. 'The snare must not be abused,.or we will definitely lose it '.... All the best,...CHA

  17. If you get onto this guys website,..you will see how he compares the Bodygripper with the Fenn He appears to recommend setting the Bodygripper on its side,.in the manner of a 'jump trap' The 'Fu Yung' trap may well be dirt cheap,.and perfectly legal to SELL,.but,.if you intend to stick within the law of the UK and follow the Spring Traps Approval Order,..then ONLY the BMI Magnum varieties,.110,116 and 55 plus the Victor Conibears,.are passed by the Ministry as being LEGAL to USE... I am all for guys trying to make a buck..$$$$$...and why not,...but,..rules is rules....
