  1. Hope to be seeing you there Jim,..
  2. You are 100% correct there... Things have improved here, my Wife's health is much better,..so,.if I can cadge a lift with any of the Hampshire or Sussex contingent and join them on their journey to The Welsh,..I shall be one happy, wee fat fellah I think that the New Forest lads are coming up on the Sunday to launch their first DVD , " A Fist-full of Ferrets',...and I also have some financial business to attend to myself,..so,..it would be real good,..to come home to Wales.... All the best,...CHALKWARREN...
  3. Interesting, concise and erudite post there Breeze...choc-full of relevant info and data, delivered from someone who was there Nice photos,.well done....
  4. AS you say Matey Peeps,...Safety,.. and a 'watch yer fecking back' kinda policy is always paramount in the taking of urban foxes. Foxes in towns can be profitable,.but they can also be more trouble than they are worth.... Er,.Ditchy,...did I ever tell you the story of how I captured the foxes in a Nudist colony,..it was emotional....And yes,.I've got a few well-thumbed pictures to prove it,...I keep them in my special folder , called,..My Special Folder.... All the best,.CHALKWARREN....
  5. Cracking pair of 'powerhouse' jukels,...they weren't taking prisoners... And what a terrific piece of rough ground to have a mouch over.. I particularly liked that gate,.. perfect for a wee net,...oops,...... Nice film,..beautiful fit dogs and fabulous land... All the best,.CHALKWARREN...
  6. Hi there,..You won't go far wrong with nice 'meaty' lamb ribs and necks,..and as the other members say, just feed them RAW,.no cooking. I like this way of feeding a jukel, it just seems right to me.
  7. Real nice pics Kiwi,..many thanks for putting them up
  8. Good luck with your genuine half crosses Mike,...these are a bit of a rarity in the UK. There have been several rabbiting lurchers created from various mixtures and combinations of Kelpie /Collie blood, but not many actual first crosses. I'm sure you, and those mouchers that are lucky enough to obtain a pup are going to have a grand old time
  9. Nope...........use Talpex all the time and never had a double in one.........male and female were they........or didn't you look?...........also i presume they were facing each other when caught? Rolfe. A female was in front , followed by a male. Head to Tail they were Bry That is superb Bry... I wonder how many years it will take before you achieve such a thing again.... All the best, CHALKWARREN....
  10. Thats one beautiful old baby you got there Tote Fecking brilliant,...I love to see it.... That boy will never forget his day out,....it will be within his heart and soul forever,...trust me,..I know.... Wee Brodie Rules,... All the best,.Chalkwarren.....
  11. Well,..when I first read this thread,...I thought to myself,..what a shame 'things' have to turn out like they do',..but,.LONG experience in meeting hundreds of mouchers and rabbiters has taught me that 'fall outs are bound to occur amongst the guys,.and there is precious little one can do to prevent it.. In hindsight,.I have been involved in countless bust-ups and girly arguments ,..that could of so easily been avoided...and I generaly regret shouting my big mouth off....it never realy solves the problem.... And of late, I am beginning to think that we should accept people for what they are.
  12. WOW.... I would love a ride out in that beauty.... Has it got a BAR in it.....
  13. i dye alot of my traps , but never waxed them , a decent coat of spay paint can do a good job too , but the usa trap dye is designed for the job and seems to pit into the rust and stay there, never liked to use rusty traps at all , far too slow and noisey i always found the black trap dye was a bit too black My favourite tin of Speed Dip comes in a nice shade of BROWN......
  14. Hello CW most of the stock i have comes from JB we swapped some of my mates tiny pugs last year for some of JBs greyhoundy type coneycatchers. I know ....
  15. :clapper: Well CrisJones,.you have handled this foolishness far better than I ever could of.... AS you know,.I only ever get personaly 'involved ' if folk start telling lies about certain events,..or begin quoting from others,.who told lies,.. Other than that,.the past is the past,.life goes on...I have survived...... SO,..lets BURY this nonsense once and for all,.... Topic Locked.....
  16. You have my full sympathy Shepp,....I recently had a promising young lurcher bitch ruined when a crazy collie cur smashed her skull and made a determined effort to kill her... It all happened very quickly and unexpectedly. My pup stood no chance. Since then,..she has never been the same.. A potentially useful working dog that will never fulfil its purpose in life.... Like yourself,...I'll be ready if such an occurrence happens again..... All the best,.CHALKWARREN...
  17. I have not read a book in 20 years,...I have no concentration span,...my mind is gone,..shot,.kaput,.finito...an ex-mind... I've even 'revued ' books for folk and given my in -depth opinion ,.but in truth,...have never even opened the feckers,.... My life is exciting and full of drama,...who needs a book..... Mind you,..Ernest Hemingway was my pal,...we used to drink,.smoke and fornicate with fat gals together,..and he was a bit handy with the ball point. Cheers,.hic,...CHALKWARREN...
  18. Yes,..we are realy pleased with Chipps,... I now have all my 'old mouching permission' back,...and it will be good to see how well the pup performs on The Plains... Of course he will have his best-est pal, Sky, the Fat Whippet with him,....what a crazy pair they are,...talk about 'the blind leading the blind'.... Gonna be some good rabbit hunting times ahead,...I can feel it in me Shiraz.... All the best,..CHALKWARREN....
  19. Thanks for the update FPO,...I'm also on medication for the rest of my life,...(mostly Red Wine and Curries)...but also a few other pills I'm sure that Jamie will cope with the trials that lie ahead of him,.and as a fellow hunter, he knows that there will always be guys available to help... All the best,...CHALKWARREN...
