Sign it over to a ferret rescue who will get it to the vet. You cant diagnose a ferret over the internet, dont think any of us are vets.

Your best off asking round find a ferret knoledgeable vet. My vet will only castrate hobs when theyre nuts are visible and spay jills when they are out of season. I once took mine for castration and it seemed that only one ball was visible but they didnt charge me, they just told me to take him back in a few week.

Well done for takin it in mate. I know the feeling i got handed one. The ferrets feet had dryed on shit stuck to them and its nails were curling under. I rand vets and reported it as found (which is what id hope someone would do if they had one of mine). Turns out the woman had already reported it as missing so i think ok so they must care about it. She turns up and i ask why its nails are so long and why its in such bad condition(it was her sons ferret) I went round to house with her as i told them they were not having the ferret back to be neglected. Full newspaper on bottom of bedbox to absorb condensation, vet bed (its great stuff!), and loads of fleece blankets. Tarpaulins over hutch's etc. I get out of bed check sure they are warm enough and they are always warm. They have got each other mine all sleep in a pile anyway and i avnt got any on their own.

He will loose most of the musky smell when his hormones have calmed down. Hes sounds like hes just trying to put her in her place, even though the jills no matter how small always win lol. You will have to take him back to rescue if it doesnt work out as usually you sign something that says that you will.

Its a case of it seems much easier for them to crunch biscuits than rip flesh from the bone. All mine have meat everyday nearly but i take away the dry. When that been eaten i put in their buscuits as i have one that doesnt know whats good for her. Only reason why i dont just feed dry is it can cake their teeth easily. But by feeding chicken wings they help scrub up their teeth.

You can use wooden bread bins if you only have 1 or 2. Drill air holes in it and cut a door hole in front.

Ive a few mates this as happened to aswell. But most likley if the ferrets were neutered it wouldnt of happened. Yes people can keep entire hobs and jills together all way round but i wont risk it.

Lemon juice in her gob!! WTF! They dont need any kind of negative methods or shite pouring down their throat.. I would bite aswell. Just handle her, alot of people mistake ferrets nipping for biting, thats how ferrets play. Clench your fist put some olive oil on your knuckles ( so she cant get grip if she bites) Let her lick the oil when shes bites shout NO. Take your hand away and re offer etc. She will learn that a bite = no tasty treat. She will associate your hands with good things not bad. Shes not gonna change mircales with a few squirts of bloody lemon juice down her throat. You

Sounds to me that the the vein as grown more and more into the nail because they havnt been cut or being wearing them down regular. I might be wrong though, im just going by what your saying. see of you can get a good pic of them.

Yes mate if they are growing inwards they will be realy uncomfortable. Their back claws shouldnt grow that long its usually just the front that wants clipping. Im in west yorkshire.

Put em on their backs on your knee. Put some ferretone/oilive oil on their belly. Clip away whilst their lickin the oil. Dont cut the quick which is the pink vein. Take little bit off at a time before you get too confident with them. Where abouts are you mate maybe someone can show you.

I recently built my two jills a hutch onto their run. Its removable aswell to get into the hutch properly.

They sell blue tarpaulins at poundshop. Theyve got eyelet in each corner. screw cup hooks into the hutch to fasten it on. Theyre about 6ft by 4 ft.

Im guesing your refering to wet cat or dog food in the title. My opinion in this day in age no ferrets should be eating wet cat/dog food. Even if you cant get meat ferret should atleast have dry ferret food.

If he asnt had meat from young he wont recognise it as food. They imprint on food at very young age.

Dry food (vitalin, alpha, supa ferret) and any meat I can get, rabbit, pigeon, chicken wings, mince, chicken livers. Eggs once a week. Lactofree milk few times a week. I also give em sardines in oil every now and then.
