  1. On the last pic looks like there quite a big gap underneath the run. Nice setup, i have been looking at sheds on there.
  2. This is mine, frame with mesh tacked to it then some smooth ply.
  3. I have mine in a court with piping round, hammocks shelves ramps to climb. They dont play much in the winter but in the summer they have box full of soil or sand. Tray of water with bottle tops in it, they fish em out lol! If it snows enough i put a tray of snow in their runs they love it. Dont need to spend a fortune, hanging baskets, tubes from carpet shop. They love owt thats free and makes a noise lol. Even a paperbag and cardboard box's with holes in.
  4. Just done mine again. Seems to be at night theyre freezing. Theyre ok through the day, tried bubble wrap and tin foil, spout still froze.
  5. I just use fleece blankets. Straw and hay can get in their eyes, i also heard of hobs getting straw stuck in their bits! which then needed an operation.
  6. I swap them round, doesnt matter what you wrap them in will still freeze, the metal spout and ball bearing seems to freeze first. Mine have dog bowls full of water, the big pot ones, they take abit to freeze.
  7. nooo not cat food! You want dry ferret food mate, the jelly and crap in the wet cat food goes streight through them, they wont get anything from it, just the shits!. Not to mention sticks to their teeth. Get some cheap frozen mince from supermarket if not, you can just pour it out of the bag as you need it, doesnt take long to defrost in the house.
  8. sounds as if shes playing but she doesnt realise how rough rough shes been. They will go for your trainers for some reason most ferrets love rubber lol. Some of mine wont even mouth my hands but some of them will, they dont puncture the skin though. just how ferrets play. Use one of those cat fishing rod toys and play with her at a distance lol.
  9. When i hear of strays round here makes me worry cos some people are evil ive been there when they were about to stand on its head, swinging it about by its tail as it had got one of them good, blood was everywhere. i laughed and snatched the ferret.
  10. Yes but you would want the money back aswell if you'd payed 50quid to neuter a ferret. Then theres the food etc. Alot run at a loss. It does seem pricey but usually would cost you more getting them done yourselves because they get rescue discount.
  11. If i was closer and i would of took her. Give her to a ferret rescue mate, they will neuter her and homecheck the new home..
  12. Looks very proffesional mate. Not sure if mine would use one always thought they were too intelligent to run round in circles LOL
  13. I had one go missing and they can travel far in a short space of time so i would start postering now. Also ring vets up and put them in lost/found book. Ring rspca and ferret rescues. Mine wa seen quite a distance away from the house, people saw him but they wouldnt dare pick him up, was chipped aswell..
  14. I like that! what are the things ontop of the roof have they got sky in there 6 x 4 would be better mate, if you can give them more space then do it, they love it.
  15. You might be looking on the wrong site mate pmsl. I use land drainage 100mm also got some clear flexible stuff that you can tie in knots and stuff its called PVU ducting i think but its not too cheap but its strong stuff mine havnt ripped it.
  16. Not here, all castrated, much easier and they dont stink! Lol
  17. Vasectomy wont help, they will still be entire and in season and hormones all over. You need to get them both castrated, takes a few weeks after for their hormones to calm.
  18. You need a large tray, buy 2, screw one down and pop the other one inside it I use shavings in the trays (horse stuff thats dust extracted, i used to get shavings for free but they were dusty as hell and made me sneeze never mind the ferrets. For bedding I use blankets, bang them in the washer every week or so, they love em, saves me spending on straw etc. (but rinse washer out after LOL, one mistake i made once )
  19. I met her once at the gamefair when i bought some ferretone. Honestly i think again it makes all ferret owners look ermm, unusual! If it helps the rescue then fair play.
  20. Talk about jumping to conclusions. f**k off ive said soory i was wrong.
  21. Sorry my mistake mate but you didnt mention that he had aeen a vet in your first post i gues everyone was thinking the same aswell.
  22. You said it all.he was ill ocer the past few weeks. He should of seen a vet. Too late now mate. Please dont get anymore.
  23. Frontline spray from the vets and you only need 1 or 2 sprays on some gloves and then rub it into the fur. No bath the ferret in this weather either mate. Salt water wontbdo anything now you will have to keep an eye out make sure it doesnt get infected thats all.
