    SEA EAGLES

One problem with this, there is no verifiable evidence that Sea Eagles were ever in East Anglia. So it would be a straight introduction which is definately not a good idea!
  2. Has anyone on here experience with these sheds or similar size. I was thinking 2 SA8 brooders per shed, i.e. 1 in each bay. However I've been told 4 SA4's per shed would be better to start with and then cut it down to 2 after a couple of weeks. I know there will be people suggesting other type's of brooders but that bit is beyond my control at the moment. Thanks
  3. Could you have found a better newspaper to quote? The Independent?!! FFS Why come on here to drag this up and spout sh*t? Trevor was much more of a man than you will ever be.
  4. Well if you're in cov I can think of at least 3 different Smiths near you that have Russells, think you might want to be bit more specific, Smiths a fairly common name!!
  5. Hi, Trying to PM you lincolnshire hunter, but your inbox is full.
  6. Thats what am hearing too....between £4 and £4.30..........Looks like the shooting is going to have to go up by £2-£4 per bird OH has spoken to a couple of fairly big producers and they are talking 60p-80p a poult extra....
  7. Thanks was just a little confused as you said KC when your champions by the dog must be IKC/FCI champions. Wasn't an attack on you personally.
  8. Most dedicated breeders of parsons haven't got a clue about working terriers. There are plenty who think they do but from 1st hand experience they are clueless. Incidentally what do you class as a pure parson seeing as you put up a picture of a Howlbeck bred dog? Can I ask again who is he? and are you in Ireland? pm if preferred
  9. Consistently winning what?! Whats the dogs name? Are you in ireland?
  10. wow, what a font of knowledge you are! what a useful person to know
  11. i used to have one of the leggy shit ones. worked well he did. 15 inches tts The show standard for parson russell terriers is 14ins tts, most of them look more around 17-18ins tts and very long. To be fair you dont see that many at 17-18ins but a lot of them are over 14. Wouldn't say jappatin dogs are any shorter coupled than most parsons either. Why would they take their dogs to England to hunt with them when they could do it in Ireland? Are you talking ratting, rabbiting or proper work?
  12. I very much doubt Burnhill or Chapman have any Jappatin blood in their kennels. Got to ask same question as DC, which hunts?
  13. My husband uses a Kubota for work and it is costing a lot of money to keep on the road. Its just over 2 years old and has done 1500 hrs. It is on its 2nd drive shaft, 4th set of uj's and 2nd set of front wheel bearings and in the workshop again as seals have gone on diff. Had other problems with it as well. What are other people using and are they any good? Thanks in advance for any answers.
  14. Be interested to know if anyone can get Frontline Spray (not the spot-on) as like you say it's very pricey at the vets and it's very difficult to get hold of otherwise as it's a POM (Prescription only medicine). Thing is the spray bottle lasts a lot longer and does the job especially if you have a number of dogs.
  15. Never a truer word spoken, especially considering the messer you got your white dog from!
  16. I think its a good service for the money ,they have helped 2 of my mates with problems with there firearms and shotgun certificates .but like most things these days it depends if the person you speak to are pulling there weight for the money there paid atb omd With you all the way tiddler66 and danw, BASC are a waste of space. (PS NGO have George Wallace as there firearms advisor for members- very clued up!)
  17. Pickups are great in the right circumstances, but comfort for wife and kids(or safety, depending on age) is not something you will get with any of the double-cabs. Got an x-trail and cant fault it BUT it is newer than a 57 plate when the model changed.
  18. Fair points but just because they are £3.50 or less doesn't mean they are poor quality. We had some birds this year at £3.15 and I very much doubt anybody could have beaten them for quality. I told the supplier after we had them he was charging way below what he should but his margins are his choice. If you take your time to look about there are some quality birds at reasonable prices available.
  19. Yer you're right, had one done at the Dogs Trust once for £10
  20. cheers mate we have a pets for home just down the road Yer you should be able to find somewhere do it for much less than £20... more and more people (laymen) are training to do it themselves and charge about £10 (like myself)...good re Pets At Home, worth looking in to...
  21. Would have to agree, live on an estate in suffolk and had all of the above plus there are a few boar at large in the above counties......
  22. Sorry but very niave to think you'd get him back after this length of time... asking a comparative stranger to 'board' your dog until you want it back is asking a hell of a lot... your ex is obviously a total liar, oh well, learn from that one... the guy who has him now has every right to keep him (possession is 9 tenths of the law etc etc) dogs are treated much like anything tv's, washing machines, stereos blah blah blah unless he stole him and you can prove it? but you'll have a right nightmare trying to get him back and the the dog may be perfectly happy where he is even if you're
