Sorry but this does bug me. Apart from the obsession with 'dogs having bricks for heads' (except my dog that needs his as he head-butts foxes to death ), Russells were never originally meant to get stuck in every time they met a fox. Borders & Fell originated from the North of England where the terrain in which they were worked meant they had to draw the fox most of the time whereas down south where the Russell originated, Foxes were for bolting to hounds.
