  1. so martin ernie from your own admission is a non ped and not a full whippet so because you cant win in the under 23 lurcher class ie the non pedigree race, you chose to race in the whippet race. i dont race my dogs anymore but i think this is exactly the reason for this topic.its nothing personal its just you give the example.good hunting
  2. only back on since the show without doubt the best show that still has potential ive ever been at.the gamefair dog shows have nothing on that day, well done to the organisers and thanks.also that digging championship was some craic, its there to stay id think.
  3. without doubt that was the best show ive been at and thats a fair lot, there was 16 blocks on that trolley in the final. this show has as the saying goes raised the bar fair play to you tango lad a job well done.you should run a gamefair youd clean the lot of them

  6. albert well done on the prizes and you do take a bit of stick well :thumbs:and i do mean that everone else its all imaterial as its dawned on me everyone thats complaining on here will still go and still pay the five euro and enter such money making icons as the ladies and the gentlemans classes at a fiver a pop good luck to mawtlc on their annual payday :db:
  7. Deemac, I had a meeting with the Mid Antrim Terrier & Lurcher Club yesterday and we hammered out what I think is a package of 'improved terms' for terrier & lurcher enthusiasts. To be frank while some have thought the €5 a class was steep - it still is much cheaper than any other competition at the fair. And the entrant has the choice of how many dogs he or she enters and in how many classes they enter them. What I was trying to do in the discussions was to arrive at a compromise where the BASIC cost of competing and admission to the fair was reduced whereby someone could ru
  8. have to say this was one of the best shows last year, very well run and organized and a hell of a lot of top class trophies for winning, good to see a strongdog gettin a fair crack at it, one of the lads i was talkin to that was helpin at the lure said only one lad sets it all up,if so hell of a job mate, see you there this year, well worth the travel
  9. Dee, Sorry not ignoring you. I intend to address your query with Seamus when I next see him. I repeat that I or the other directors do not get any of the class entry fees But even at €5 per class this is less expensive than the gundogs or clays entries and similar to the angling. I do not ask any of the organising clubs what they do with the money but do encourage them to use it for development of the sport or at least make a donation to charity. Last year FISSTA ( angling) raised over €4,000 from the magazine/fair and ALL of that was put straight into developing thie schools
  10. i take it im gettin ignored then albert as im still waitin a year on for a simple answer to a simple question.kegs your on the must be ignored list now to.im not lookin free tickets or subs to your mag just a straight answer
  11. well albert the show season is nearly here and youre back with a bang.well done on the competitions though id still like to know why you charge so much a class as youve never answered.i know you said you dont get the money but the club that does the show gets it.id just like to know the reason it was 5 euro in a class
  12. i started the post as a question as i liked the torlishill bred dogs they are strong boxy types that was all. then it was said they worked with hunts by lislea vixen then there was a question of which hunts, which there was no answer for and as weve followed a few in our time kegs asked again which i didnt see anything wrong with.the whole chapwin thing howlbeck thing isnt anything to do with the thread, the rest of the dogs on greenperrys site say what they have got and it doesnt say the bandit dog got his working cert but if he did thats great. the reason for all the work talk is that we d
