  4. I agree not a chance would you let a stranger go on permission without yourself thats took years to build up a trust with the landowners ,youd get people on after not giving a fxxk has its not their land and in the end wouldnt be bothered at all wether you lost it or not.Its a non starter in my eyes
  5. Oldham Lad what i do and probably quite a few more is let the young ferrets grow for the first season and get them out at the end of the season just to run through a few empty rabbit warrens after the older experienced ferrets have been in and shifted the rabbits on because ,the last thing you really want is a really young inexperienced ferret is to get a good few kicks of a big buck rabbit held up in a stop end esp when its nowhere near physically and mentally up for it .Has for the minimum you,ll get to know the ground ,warrens and how deep etc and you,ll be able to judge roughly how many ne
  6. We carry the same has cjoe but take a few different handy spades carry 1 and leave a smaller 1 in the car and a root splitter luckily were never far away from the vehicle and a drink for the ferrets.Which is a lot from when i first started looking back on it now .Good luck oldham lad the very least you should have the ferrets by now or you,ll be risking using inexperienced ferrets of a very early age or unless you can get hold of some older stock but be warned come september good seasoned workers will be hard to get.It may be worth your while to meet up with someone who has all the gear

  10. Yes there's some owners need a swift kick up the arse too .I. can't understand why when they see you put your dogs on a lead they don't bother and think its ok for their dog to run up and try it on even seen the owners with headphones on whilst the dogs are running wild a swift boot up the dogs arse normally sorts them out and funny how they never say anything to you . Ruby I think I know the collies you mention if its the same 1 he puts em in check when he sees my dogs now after the last incident luckily it was quiet when i was by the old jetty so it was a good wander with no incidents for
  11. Shocking aint the word for it seen a few dickheads on the same beach and witnessed out of control lurchers on a few occasions its a nice place to let the dogs let of some steam but it honestly put me off going there because of the attitude of others and unruly dogs its not the place to go if you cant call your dog back or its allowed to free run all over the place ,honestly it was only a matter of time before it did actually happen im sad to say .For instance seen a pregnant lurcher bitch been set upon by a group of lurchers and the owner of the dogs just walked away saying it,ll do it no ha
  12. 4 on 434 in not good feedback. Just remember this is his 3rd reincarnation on ebay this year. Each time the negative feedbacks mount up he starts a new ebay ID. Trust me I have been making nets for nigh on 45 years. This man has no scruples he knows absolutly nothing about netting rabbits, has never done it and never will. He would not know a good net if it hit him on the head. The man is a chancer, and as for the statment it was "all started by a wanker living near him". That "wanker" showed him and his son how to make nets in the first place and is one of the most respected members of th

  14. Ive had and used the mk3 since they came out ,found it easy to use from the first time and still cant fault it for pinpointing a ferret if anything its a bit noisy nothing a bit of insulating tape cant fix although ive seen the magnetic mk 3 a few times and found they can pick up interference from fences now and then .
  15. If you cant pursenet the holes can you not use poke nets to cover them? if it was myself id use the longnets to surround the trees and place nets on the holes where i can and if they hole hop you,ll have a chance of the rabbit backnetting itself has well has bolting into a net Be prepared for a nice dig though with setts under trees the rabbits can get inbetween and under some thick roots making for a lengthy dig in some cases.
