yep stick a coats on them 24/7 if you have to and make sure their kennels are warm and that they have plenty of drinking water .... FAT will not put weight on a dog FAT is whaere dogs get all their energy from .... PROTEIN is what puts weight on a dog .... so if you want to feed a little more to keep the weight on then feed more proteins such as chicken ........

if he stands toe to toe with lacey he will come unstuck however he has been in the game a long time and i am sure he knows that ...... if he fights off the back foot he will fluster lacey into a mistake and may finish him .... however i feel that it will go the distance with big joe winning on points ............

feed it raw ... the veg and fruite should be fed raw aswell ... you loose all the vitamins and nutrients as soon as you cook them ... mix them all together in a bowl make up some cheap gravy poure it over the lot and make into a soup .... they will soon eat it

my greyhounds have got an 85% win rate at the track and that is not down to just luck its down to a carefull nutritional balance and correct training .... you will then end up with a dog that looks like this .........

ok a couple of points to be raised here ... firstly joeb wants this dog to run 4 or 5 rabbits a night so in my opinion what the dog needs is a cross training regime with the emphasis on sprint work as thats what his job is primaraly going to be .... if we were talking abaout a coursing dog then i would change the training and gear it more towards stamina ...... marckbrick diet and conditioning for a running dog are EVERYTHING and whilst you may keep your dogs fit through the summer (as i always do) a correctly fed and conditioned dog will outrun a normall fit dog any day of the week ......

if the dog has bull in its line somwhere then taht will help ... bull breeds have a much higher pain threshold than other dogs ... it is t do with the nurons in the brain ... the bulls brain releases happy drugs into the brain when it feels pain ... it is the same type of releases that you get when you eat chocolate ............

foxdropper you really are taking some good gear .... a greyhound is a sprint master they have been bred this way for thousands of years and there isnt a dog taht will stay with them over a distance of up to 500 yds to 750 yds .... i am lucky in the fact taht one of my greys can go near flat out for a 1000 yds making him a distance specialist but theses dogs are very few and far between .... however there is no way he would last half the night against a mediocre lurcher ..... the greyhounds body is desinged somewhat like the cheetah and the amount of energy theses animals use up over a short
