i dont take the pics mate so i have no idea sorry ........

we had a few hours out with shooter2000 today to show him a little bit of ferreting is all about as he has his longnets on order and is ready to embark on his career as a ferreter ......... well the place we whent was very open and the wind was howling through making the ferrets work hard to bolt the rabbits as they just didnt want to shift ... we decided to do away with the nets and just bolt for the dogs ... it wasnt a bad bag considering the conditions .... and we didnt have to dig which was a bonus ......... NOT THE EASYEST OF GROUND TO RUN ON ......... THATS BETTER .

dont feed to much offal mate twice a week is plenty ..........

i mince all my dogs food up mate and put it in weighed bags then freeze it ... it makes it much easyer ... then yep as you say just give them the bones through the day ... hepls to keep them occupied aswell ... if you have a mincer then as i said on the earlyer post run the veg through it and mix it in with the meat for the fussy eater then he will HAVE to eat it as it will be to finely minced for him to eat the meat and leave the veg ...........

for the weight of your dogs and the amount of work they are doing i would be feeding 1 1/2 to 2lbs lbs of beef a day plus 1 pound of mixed veg so in essence you could feed a third of the meat in the morning and then feed the other 2 thirds and the veg at night along with half a cup of boiled rice and if you wanted to be really into the feeding add a slice of wholemeal bread for ruffage .... now every dog is different and some will need more/less depending on the dog and work given only you can see that so you will have to adjust accordingly ......... as for the ratio then normally you woul

sandemere i am not getting into one of our big drawn out food debates ... do some research on the variouse veg nutritional information and you will see what i mean about carrots .... mmmm creatine building blocks protein ... you are starting to sound like me are you at last coming over to my way of thinking regarding the energy values from fats rather than from carbs ??? all i need to do now is to convince you that raw is best ........ jay you cannot feed a dog on fat alone mate you will visibly be able to see it losing weight as the days go on ...........

i was talking in relation to other veg ... yes they have positives like a high count of beta carotine etc but if you compare them to say a green veg like broccoly which has 0 grams of sugars per 100 grams carrots have 5 grams of sugar per 100 grams ........

you have 3 options really 1 try giving the veg to her whole and see if she will enjoy chewing it down and eating it that way ... 2 try a different veg there are plenty that you can use but in my experience once you get a dog that isnt keen on eating veg they generally wont eat any veg .... 3 get your self a cheap mincer and run the veg and meat through it so that the veg is integrated with the meat and then the dog HAS to eat it ............

individuall choice mate some do some dont the next few weeks will be ok but then you need to slow her up and just keep her fit .........

bitch is looking in good nick mate .......

some will take to veg and some wont mate but most will take to veg given at different states ie some like it minced some like it whole and some will only eat veg that is minced in with the meat you will have to find out how each one likes it mate ...... be carefull with carrots mate as they are fairly high in sugar ....... as for the recovery feed the type of work your dogs are doing will be causing muscle depletion rather than sustained cardio so to that end i would feed a good high protein meat to replenish the broken down creatine and protein and the amount of food will depend on t

as i said i make up a WEAK gravy ... there are plenty of low salt options available ..........
-
tiff i make a up a weak gravy using ordniary gravy granuels ... i do it mainly in the freezing weather for a few reasons firstly the dogs can digets a warm meal better than a cold one and this saves them using up the energy to keep warm on trying to digest food .... secondly i break the ice on their water bowls 3 times a day but at the moment its freezing over quick so by adding a pint of watery gravy to their meal i can be sure they are getting the fluids they need ...........
-
as i said mate its for a fella off another site ... pm me your number and i will pass it on to him ... he only wants a terrier for bushing bunnys so she should do him ok ............
-
any type of cooking process will break down the properties of the food in question ... veg will lose its vitamins especially vit e as that is destroyed in even moderate heat ... by cooking the fats you will be breaking down its effectivness in suplying the energy source that its desinged to do .... i feed everything raw but in real cold weather such as know i mix up a gravy and pour it over the food whehn it has cooled down so that it is only warm to the touch ...........

well the welsh contingent were late arriving yestarday morning ... well who can blame them from not wanting to leave the land of the gods ... anyway by the time they arrived and had their obligatory breakfast roll and we loaded the truck and got to the land it was nearly 10.00 before we got a ferret in the ground ......... it was a windy old day which never helps with the bolting of rabbits on this particular piece of land ... they would rather stay to ground and try thier luck with the ferrets ... however the ferrets worked really well and we only had 4 digs all day with the deepest bei

i see one every day whin that can do all you mention and more ...........

as far as i am concerned all you are doing is talking about a run of the mill lurcher ... an all round dog should be able to do all this ... its nothing special IF you have the game and land ............

ranges are being used 7 days a week nearly every week now and they have moved the safety areas out further so not really anywhere to shoot anymore unless you join a syndicate ........
