    Right I just drove past a bop sat on a fence post and only had a quick glance but couldn't recognise what it was and wondered if you lads could help ... It was roughly the size of a buzzard but more compact and sleek looking ... Its head wings and back were a dark slate grey colour and its chest and belly were white .........

    Spoke to my butcher today and he reckons a pig roast is a waste as it will feed 120 easily ... How about a big BBQ and a two or three shoulders or legs that will be plenty for the thirty odd of us that will be there .......

    few years ago me and a mate were rabbiting one night, it was in jan .it was cold night and the ground was very hard, so we kept by the wood so it was not over exposed , and bit softer ground there . we came to one field and the gate was stuck froze solid to the floor , the gate was only open 10in wide , no way could we get through it, the dog only just about, we couldn't move it no feckin way.anyway we climbed over, start to walk the edge of field , when thedogs shot off in front . then they went to wards us flat out behind a red hind , the deer ran past hit the gate if it was like fecki

    Fellas you can all assume you would do this and do that but until your in that position you don't know how you would react ... Some people would attack without thinking ... Others would go into protect mode and just want the fella out of the room and be 100% with his daughter ... Others would scream and shout and not do much else ...     I appreciate that mate. Many SF lads won't be battle proven. I get that. My only point was your average para or SF probably ain't gonna be an easy fight. If I was gonna pick someone to fight based purely on their profession, para or SAS trooper would be near the bottom of that list! Librarian/software engineer somewhere near the top. LOL. It's all very well saying we'd murder the b*****d. Yep I see your point mate ... However NO man should be underestimated when it comes to a ruck whether he is a vicar or a cage fighter ... Treat them all as an equal threat and never underestimate anybody .

    Its one of the great British myths ... People think that if your special forces you must be hard as rock ... Mentally yes ... Physically fitness and endurance wise yes ... Toe to toe no ... You can learn hand to hand and you can obviously learn to look after yourself better but you can't put minerals in that are not there ........

    Definitely an instinct thing ... She is a funny little thing with a few quirks lol ... However she is very loyal and focused on me for a pup of such a young age ... When we are out and about if we bump into other people dog etc she will do the usual puppy thing of running up to them for a fuss and stroke but she always keeps one eye on me and when I have gone on about ten meters max bang without a word or whistle from me she back by my side .......

    No other dogs around when she is eating mate ... She does it even with liquified food except it all falls about of her mouth and leaves a trail where she has been lol ... I can't drop a meal she is sixteen weeks and only twice a day as it is ... It's just a strong natural instinct ... I think when she starts getting fed with the other dogs she will stop doing it ... If she doesn't she will soon get hungry lol ........

    My current pup lotty is obsessed with burying or hiding her food ... No matter what quantity of food you give her she will eat half and bury or hide half ... I've had dogs do this sometimes in the past especially bitches with pups but never a pup and never with every single meal ... Even if I lock her in her run to feed her and don't allow her back into her bed she will place the food in the corner of the run and go through the motions of pushing earth over it with her nose ....... We just stopped a bite to eat whilst on a job and here she is burying half the small meal I just gave her ..
