    i agree that in 1938 they would not have known what was to come but only 20 years prior to this they where mustard gassing are troops in the trenches and all those footballers would have lost fathers or uncles and family in that war.so in that respect ,it does seem odd to be giving a nazi salute But no one knows if they did it voluntarily They were more than likely told to do it i,m sure they were,but that in itself is a sad state of affairs after all that died in that war
