That’s the thing with farmers to mate they want quality just the same as us but don’t twist about the price,as they know they need it and will make there money back from working it.

If I could get my pics off photobucket I would put a pic up but he is sat with Dave in his backyard.I stripped his head out so Dave had to finish him off.He was a joy to watch graft and a really steady dog for a Lakeland but a shame it never worked again.

I know mate I got Dan off Mousey for my son when he was 6wks old because he wasn’t keeping a pup.I stripped his head out in his garage and he realised he sold the wrong pup.We dug a few bits with him when he matured and was a nice thing to watch.When my son sold him to Larry it was a good dog wasted.I laughter at the shows when we showed him he beat churchy all the time from a pup to adult and vic about 6 time which was a £5000 dog.

Vic came from churchy Mousey gave him £5000 for him,I mentioned it before on a three on here when they were skating churchy and didn’t know the story as usual mate.

That’s what the wife’s dog was through I ask Mousey if any of his had fits from vic and he said no.The red dog called Dan which my son sold to Larry he got cancer at about 7 by then Dave and janette had him and I think he died a year later.

The wife’s lakey started having them from about 5yrs old but wasn’t really often and was only when he got up from a sleep.As he got older they started to get more regular from about 9yrs old then by the time he was 12 started pissing blood.And yip it was cancer he was a cracking dog I used to take him to work on rat jobs but the wife wouldn’t let me use him for digging,as she seen the state my borders used to come back in and he was keen for a look in a hole.This is him mate just before he started the fits

In the 80s pups were £25-30 or free to mates,I think £250-300 is a decent price for a decent pup or more if it’s the right bred and selective bred right like they should be.By the time you have pup all the time and effort into choosing the right pup,bring it up doing the job then having to travel for the right stud dog to hopefully better the pups you deserve a decent price,as you have put all the ground work in and the person buying the pup is getting a well bred dog for a good price just my opinion ?

There’s still decent folk about who isn’t in a click or circle mate who still need to advertise depending on the breed.As for these circles everyone is on about what about if these others don’t or have no room for another pup.The breeder might of bred for himself but still need to get shot of excess.If there’s a litter you fancy go and look you can more or less the the jest of a person talking face to face with them and know if they are full of it.Just remember the prices have gone and lads even on this site has charged folk the same money as these peddlers while the chance is there for them t
