  1. Funny that isn't it, what with it being a Staff. :wankerzo4:
  2. Ok Seperation Anxiety is a very distressing place for a dog to be in. In the dogs head when you leave him he thinks that the "pack" has abandoned him and in wolf society this would leave him open to attack and danger. The dog creates noise in an attempt to find the pack, when this fails the stress levels rise and the destructive behaviour presents. The good news is that it is relatively easy to overcome, the bad news is it takes hard work an dedication to achieve. To start sit in a room with your dog, if he is the sort that needs to be close/touching you then stop this straight awa
  3. "Chav gundog" Love it!! Its nice to see someone using and training a staff for something other than a status symbol. Must have put a lot of time and effort to get her to that level, good on you.
  4. I suggest a "Spell Off" between Spell Weasel and The Correction Kid???
  5. Define "real man" if you would please. . . . . . . . lay out for us your attributes Artic , and we shall conclude on your "suitability as a real man". . .
  6. Form, should that be from? . Brilliant. :clapper: :clapper:
  7. Love it!! :clapper: Man are also like . . . . . floor tiles . . . . . lay them right the 1st time and you can walk all over them for the rest of their life! oh and . . . . Men are like . . . . . . . toilets . . . . . . . . . Full of shit and always out of order!
  8. Hyp i told you the answer a million times at the weekend . . . . . . . . . . .
  9. It might just be me but when I see those photos I think, why? BTW, that dog in the bottom photo looks worried and I don't think it's to do with the fall The answer to the question is WHY NOT?!!? A active dog is a happy dog, doesn't matter what the breed is. Some great photos guys Took the words right out of my mouth Hollie thank you! As it was once said before on this site, the dog pictured above is suffering from massively low self esteem, just getting out of her basket every day and realising that she's not a lurcher is sometimes too much for her to
  10. Not a lurcher but my Dalmation X Beardie, was born with springs in her feet! She does 26ft into the pool, 15ft over the long jump and 8ft up the vertical wall. Hedges, fences and gates are never a problem. She jumps for fun, will always go over even if going round is quicker!
  11. The statement "the way to a mans heart is through his stomach" . . . . .. is proved wrong here. . . . . as expected the "groin" will always prevail.
  12. Lots of good advice above, my Dalmation X Bearded collie was a bugger for this as a pup, i tried everything, weeks and weeks of attempts for no advances. In th ened i took her to a remote place with zero traffic and went for a walk. As we approached the car and i got the lead out she started going down on her front legs, wagging her tail . . . .i totally ignored her, got in the car and drove off! Her face was a picture, she paniced and came flying up behind me, i stopped the car opened the door and she couldn't have got in any quicker! Never had a problem since! I will add that i did this
  13. Thanks Hannah... sounds like we're gonna have a girls night out.. bring your lamp and boots... Was great to see your dog Jump at the EA.. batteries went on my camera.. Girls night out is sounding good! Glad you managed to see Kody jump, although not a great performance. Bless her she tried her best but it transpires after a weekend competing in kent where she went lame, that she has damaged her shoulder. The EA was early warning signs really, off for x rays and the start of a long road to soundness on friday. The dog that beat her at EA, Sam the black lab is an
  14. What a cracker, gutted i didn't get to see him at the East Anglian . . . . . . Perfect excuse for a trip over next season! xx
  15. Spider is a rough coated blue brindle lurcher. I've just stripped a fair amount of his coat off, revealing much more tan stripes. Easier to see as a pup.
  16. Sardines in tomato sauce a whole can 3/4 times a week, excellent for skin, coat and joints. . . . . .and as an added bonus the tomato neutralise the acid in a bitches urine and stop nasty brown patches on your lawn!
  17. Fantastic photos, i have found a litter near me that seem weirdly tame??!! hoping to get some shots this week.
  18. Scent marking? If the male pup is entire at around 7 months he will be discovering his hormones and scent marking everything and everywhere! Other option could be a urine infection, my lurcher pup got an infection in the end of his penis at 8 months . . . . . .. Due to getting a little over excited when my neighbours bitches were in season, vet suggested that he must of "had it out" too much and picked up an infection! . :tongue4: Boys will be boys!

Not at all in agreement with them being branded as "forced to go ferreting" . . . . . . .BUT . . . .. the link clearly states that their previous owner was disqualified from keeping animals, that involves a long and weighty court case. Without knowing the facts on their living conditions etc, it's hard to say wether these dogs are not better off away from their previous owner.
  20. I have my bitches spayed before their first season as after reading all the facts for and against, i opted for before. It has never been a problem to any of them. If she hasn't come in after 2.5 years, i cant see it being a problem with getting her spayed now.
  21. That germolene new skin stuff . . . . . . . i used it when i cut my hand . . . . .it is AGONY when you put it on!!
  22. I'm going for the whole weekend and camping, Kody my Dalmation X is competing in dock dogs and i may chuck my beddyX Whippet into a show ring for a laugh!
  23. LDR do they think the suspected bleed could of been caused by inflation to the ego/head? I don't know maybe some event or competition which you did well in?? Just a thought!
  24. I pay between 6 -- 9 quid at the moment for the horses bales, the same size as these 1's. The decrease in building has increased the price no end, i used to pay 4--5 quid. Thinking of changing the horses onto elephant grass which is much cheaper.
