  1. And a few old dogs who love it! Did you get those collars from Sue? x
  2. Its been and gone, Like Don said the Huntsman didn't organise it. Don, i'll bring those photos for the raffle with me on sunday ok. x
  3. LOL. . . . .the funny thing is when i turn and look at him he holds my gaze for a couple of seconds then looks away, but shows zero emotion, it's like he wants to pretend it hasn't happened! I would pay any money to know what he's thinking!
  4. Everyone feeds rabbits differently, i personally give mine the whole thing, that said mine will only eat them freshly caught. Some prefer to feed skinned and gutted, some freeze them for 3 weeks to kill worm cysts. If it was me starting a pup on them i'd gut them, and feed half a whole rabbit as 1 meal, leaving fur on.
  5. Thanks. I spend most my life in CS3 editing pictures . . . . . . . . that said although i love the shop i do try and achieve as much of the focal effect i want with the camera. The color pic was taken at the same time as the first 1, just a tighter crop and total focus on the eyes. I liked the 1st pic as i think you need the "slump" of his body in focus to emphasis the relaxed state he was in at the time . . . .. . but your right the blur tool can be very effective.
  6. My lurcher is called Spider but is regualry called "Spy" for short . . . .. this is the calmest most thoughtful dog i have ever met, he has a weird aura about him and always wherever you turn he's watching, and as the last picture demonstrates actually spying!
  7. all ill say is mink hounds and leaky boots plus getting your car stuck in a boggy wood! lol! mind you you did look quite good while i was trying to dig the front wheels out of the mud! miss T gets kinda blood thirsty now and again but she just takes it out on me by stabbing me in the back of the head with a spoon! cheers hyperion Ok the car thing was a very easy mistake to make . . . . . . and you were very valiant in your attempts at rescuing me! And as for the mink hounds, the action was coming so thick and fast, all thought of hair and nails went out the wind
  8. I love nothing more than to be out with the dogs, dispatching game doesn't worry me, and i can handle the various weather . . . . . . . When i was living in South Africa i did a lot of shooting and really enjoyed it . . . . Equally i like getting my hair and nails done, wearing nice clothes, handbags, shoes, and scarves are 1 of my weaknesses . . . . . I'm a professional person and need to look smart a lot of the time. . . .. (thats the excuse i use for my account too!) I think it's about balance, my dogs and getting out hunting are a big part of my life, but i wouldn't want t
  9. Congrats . . . . . need a wedding photographer?! x
  10. I feed Pork, not in massive amounts but they do get it and i've never had a problem.
  11. James Wellbeloved is a great complete food, and in my opinion worth the money. I feed raw but start puppies on 1 kibble meal of wellbeloved and 2 meals of mince/bones. Beta puppy is also a good food, you could compromise and buy the Beta, cheaper than wellbeloved and use the money you save to buy some raw food to go with it.
  12. The key to a good Raw diet is variety . . . . .. Tripe and chicken carcasses are the cheap way of doing it, however i feel you need to add extra meats to give a balanced diet. Ask your mum to get the butchers to keep the left over trim, some fat, beef bones, etc. I would buy lamb breast a couple of times a week, a whole breast should do 2 meals. That coupled with some reduced items from the supermarket, mince, liver, kidneys, fish, chops, steak, go on a sunday and you'll be able to get loads. In terms of cost you need to look at the quality of the food your giving, yes if you add
  13. Spider Bedde/Whippet. At 8 weeks awwwwwwwwwwwwww! 12 weeks 5 months 6 months 7 months 11 months and a gobby shit! and the last few months, he's turned out better than i ever could have imagined, an absolute pleasure to own.
  14. Very true . . . especially when Kody got "wild eye"!!! Thats when she has to be stopped . . for everyone's sakes!
  15. Thanks sully, these were shot with the Nikon D700.
  16. It's business pure and simple, of course not many off here would pay to go as most have their own or access to go ferreting when ever they like. This guy is taping into corporate entertainment market, and by the looks of it has a very well put together set up. For all those knocking him . . . . . . he's making a living from his passion . . . i have nothing but respect for him. Clever guy.
  17. Oh ok, nothing serious then! That pup of socks is a stunner.
  18. LOL! My nieces put it on him and i never bothered to remove it, i think it suits him and adds to his "gypsy dog" look!!
  19. Blaine is Beddie/whippet X collie/grey I too would be interested to know what Whippet99 meant??? Thanks for the nice comments.
  20. A few pictures from our walk and exercise session today with the flirt stick. . . . . . . .. Hyperion is also staying with me for the week with his dog Blaine.
  21. Very sad for both the guy and the dog, it would be easy to attack him for not not being able to afford the dog, but it will achieve nothing. I'm pretty sure he already feels utterly shit about the whole situation. I hope you manage to get back on your feet and when you are in paid employment and think about getting another dog, i'd advice getting insurance . . . . worth it in the long run.
  22. Mistakes . . . . . . . Poor diet. Over exercising. lack of consistency. Not getting the pup used to spending time alone. lack of chewing devices. . . . resulting in damage! Too high expectations of ability in terms of training. Oh and not enough cuddling!
  23. I disagree to some extent Kay . . . . my dogs are always out and about with me, especially when i'm out photographing the hunt. They get left in the car and are more than happy, the boot has a huge cage and they will happily snooze in there whilst i go about my business, they love being out with me. That said it's common sense isn't it, if they happen to be with me in this heat, which is very rare . . . i open the boot and have a padlock on the cage, bowl of water , the car is always parked in shade and i never leave them long. Like anything there will always be the idiots that exploi
