  1. Hi roosika, any red led ultrafire 501b on ebay (make sure its single mode) i paid 8 pounds for mine, the lens is in the link on the thread (lens was 1.50 i think) Its the best 5 min project ever lol. And for less than a tenner you have a great lamping torch! They are a million times better than the standard 501b. My shooting mates that have seen them have all made one and prefer them to there lamps! You can get green too. Just replace the old flat lens for one of the curved dx ones and paint your reflecter black. (remove it from the bulb first. Hope you make one, you will NOT be di
  2. I posted beam pics and link to parts to build this lamping torch on another thread, well worth making i promise you. It costs next to nothing to build and they are superb!!! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/274145-cree-lamps/
  3. Try a red led ultrafire 501b with a diy fitted refractive lens (turns beam from flood to spot and adds tons more throw/range). Order bits from china for peanuts, paint the existing refractor black and with a couple of rechargable 18650 batteries your lamping all night. No heavy battery or wires. Its all i use nowadays - my cumbersome lamps are redundant now and this set up is more than enough power for sub 12 lamping.
  4. This year 2 christmas cards that came to my house had been cut open, it looked like someone had been checking them for money!
  5. A s/s for me too. Much lighter and nicer looking than a o/u. You can pick the spanish made s/s's up very cheap too if your just starting out or on a budget.

  10. Iv fitted my 90 with one of theese straight through centre sections 36 pounds from steve parker they make a nice sound and are not too loud even when revving hard. I very much doubt its loud enough to bother anyone. I not had an mot done yet so cant comment on emitions but I cand see it making any difference as its only a silencer. It made a big difference to ground clearence, id recomend one and ill deffo get another one if this blows on me in a few years time. hope that helps! Atb tom.
  11. Poor lad hope he has a speedy recovery, best wishes Tom.
  12. Sorry to disagree but iv had a vitara standard then modded then a jimney and Modded (vitara 2 years and jimny 3 years) iv had my landrover 90 1 year and gone on my permission where I couldent go before as I got stuck also places I couldent go on pay and play sites with my beloved zooks and my 90 is standard. Its annoying hearing the suzuki jimny/vitara argument they are nothing like each other the 90 ticks over through bogs my vitara got stuck in I am not trying to be rude or cause an argument but in my experience a defender vs a vit/jimny is no comparison and believe me I love my zooks! P
  13. Yes whenever iv refinnished my stocks they have a slight bit of stain left after nitromosing but this is gone once your dent steaming and sanding is done so iv allways had to stain again. Large diy stores usually have a good selection. You can test your stain on the bit of stock under the recoil pad or simelar scrap wood to check your happy with it. Once the tru-oil goes on the stock darkens a bit more. If you smear a drop of water on your stained stock you get a good idea what it will look like once the tru-oil goes on. It certainly makes the grain stand out nicely. Every stock iv done s
  14. Personally I would stain and go for a tru-oil finnish. staining is to individual taste but stocks are normally verry light without staining. Id use tru oil as you can make the finnish how you want as in matt or gloss and its easy to strip if you want to do it again. Some guns iv had iv redone the stocks every year to keep them looking tidy.
