For speed, you cant beat a bucket stuffed in the open top of a ruck sack. So you can just neck them, and flip them over your shoulder into the bucket.

Same here, around here the best nights are wet and windy like we've been having lately.

Had a few nights out on the lamp with one a couple of years ago, and found it to be a very handy dog.

Yeah, that was me, and I hadn't realised at the time that 2 southerners in the final was impossible, also the wife was pregnant, and I didn't think I would be able to do the Scottish trip (as if I am going to get to the final anyway ) Now the baby is 4 weeks old, things are settled, and I'm more than likely going to get knocked out anyway lol, so sorry if it sounded a bit arsy when I asked the original question, as its a great thing Moo has done to offer his land for the final, and I'd love to make the trip if I actually get through.

I understood it to be pretty much the same as you understood it to be. I.E to try and get it done some time before xmas, and for the finalists and yourself to arrange the date.

As some one who is still learning as he goes, it doesn't bother me what way the info comes, as long as its good info to learn from. Original or copied what ever way. If you don't want your tales retold, don't tell em. But in saying that, I've only read 1 and a half Plummer books, then given up on hunting books.

Chill lads I think you are both on the same page, and just have crossed wires a little. CP has got a bit of breathing space for his dog to heal, as the southern heats are still quite a way behind, so its this issue we need to sort before the northern's. Bigboy, whats the status on your dog ? How long are you thinking the recent injury will take to heal ? Stuboi and Torchey whats the status with you two lads? I do feel, like Max, that we are going to be struggling to get this done and dusted by Xmas now.

The offspring will be fairly un uniform as you are crossing a cross to a pure. F1 hybrids are the main egg layers, they are basically first crosses, and have uniformity, and hybrid vigor. If you cross them again you can't guaranty what you will get, some will throw to different grandparents.

What about yourself then mate? can you be easily "checked out" via the net ? 1.age - 37 2.gender - male 3.did anyone in particular get you into hunting - My dad 4. what age did you start hunting - 11 5. why do people hunt - For myself in this order (food/sport/pest control ) 6. what would happen to all the animals if you didn't hunt - ? 7. do you use dogs for hunting if so how do you train them - Badly, in truth, dogs dont need a great deal of training to hunt, its what the have been doing for a millennium. 8. what euipment do you take hunting - depends what type of hunting

couldn't tell you mate, hopefully they will be running soon, as I'm chomping on the bit at the moment with this weather and moon :-) I know collie/grey and bigboys was postponed due to work commitments on bigboys part, but haven't heard anything on Stuboi Vs Torchey

Some thing else good about this new set up is it seems to stop people quoting a post and all the 10 pictures in it as well, which always pisses me off lol, scrolling past pic after pic I've just seen two posts up.

I like the look of them :-) they have a sort of basic feral dog look to them. Survival of the fittest seems to produce the same shape as them, only smaller.

Went out for a couple of hours, still and turning foggy here. Still, got some ferret food though.
