From the article... "While factors other than Brexit are said to have contributed to Honda's decision, the timing of its announcement is likely to be viewed as an incendiary development with a no-deal Brexit potentially just under six weeks away." The primary factor in business leaving the UK is the cost of operating in the UK.

Same kinda scenario is playing out in Washington too. It's a like a race to the bottom!

Back to that graphic the majority of the 'accused' seem to be under scrutiny for moving financial assets abroad in order to lower/avoid their tax burden. So? How much of their fair share do the remainers believe they're entitled too? I moved all of my assets offshore during the last Labour government and I'll be f*ck*d if I'm paying another penny back into that system. If that makes me a pleb so be it but what does that make those that just fork over all of their hard earned so that Westminster can redistribute it as they see fit? At least Brexit stops the EU taking their chunk too.

As long as people believe that the government will give them free sh*t there will always be a vote for Labour.

Isn't Farage's wife German and his kids are dual nationals? Isn't Chandler a kiwi and became a Maltese citizen before the referendum?

Same. A repeal will just agitate the opposition the status quo just lets everyone get on and the majority of people that make up the rest of the country go about their daily lives as unaffected as they always have.

I have to say I've watched and enjoyed both! The thread that @kannyput up was interesting and that was just up the road from me. I still have seen a definitive for or against on it either. Even more local to me is the site of the Mountain Meadow Massacre and while I hear the spooky stories I've never encountered anything while I've been out there. Still makes for fascinating reading!

Possible but seeing how the entitled members of modern society behave it's probably something simple they don't think the pay and conditions are worth the money. No one wants to do any actual work, just get paid to buy sh*t on Amazon and surf Facebook. That lad raised $19m for Don's wall... Could be worth a go! Probably pay and conditions. Not being paid in cash would be one I'd highlight too.

Senior management probably said something along the lines that no one from [insert diversity target collective here] has ever applied. The union will be on a diversity kick and are highlighting what they perceive as the issue and as to whether your senior management are actively discriminating against [insert diversity target collective here].

I agree but according to the British government you may not be a horse but you're entitled to all the horses benefits, feed, medications, and the duty of care that comes with owning one. It's sh*t but apparently they had a change of heart in 2009 when the legislation was changed. Thanks Labour.

I don't doubt it. Drugs seem to be winning the War on Drugs! Nature abhors a vaccuum and I'm sure El Jefe is already getting warm at his new desk!

My understanding is that as the mother is a British citizen otherwise than by descent (she was born in Britain) which means the child is also a British citizen. Dig deep guys. Only £3 a month...

I don't honestly see anyone else getting stuck into this after an election. They dealt with it once and the legislation was so bad, despite all the time they spent on it, I can't see them going back. There will be an occasional outcry for someone to do something but they'll just log into social media and arrest the low hanging fruit to bump up the numbers. Then they'll return to doing nothing. If you understand the Hunting Act you'll know exactly how to drive a bus through the loopholes and you'll continue as always knowing full well that catching hare-coursers is much easier on Facebook than

Or 2019 plates on your 1972 trip out!

I'm not sure, to be honest, but the usual response to these kind of cases is deport them. Becareful what we wish for an all that. I'd like to see her serve a lengthy sentence in a Syrian prison but I predict probation and benefits upon a return to Britain for the welfare of her child who'll probably be fighting against us in the next decade and a half. This sh*t writes itself...

Just write PRE-BAN (capitals and italics for emphasis) at the beginning and end of each post. They're not legally admissable in court then...

It seems that THL favorite's president agrees that these people should be repatriated to their country of origin.
-
Good riddance. According to the evidence heard he was a nonce too looking at the court documents (page 5 if you're interested.) It's a shame he'll not serve time for those although it's unlikely he'll be out in anything other than a box.

Heard it on the news yesterday on the drive back into the mountains. Colon cancer. I thought he was superb in Downfall.

This story has actually made it to the break room in Las Vegas and that's pretty much what I said would happen. I tend to agree that she should be left where she is but it does raise an interesting question. Hypothetically, if Britain were to fracture politically and opposition to a government were to form an armed resistance, could the [sitting] government revoke citizenship based on that oppostion?

They haven't concluded the investigation, mate. It's still ongoing.

Donald Trump had a majority in the house, the senate, and he had the presidency between 2017 and the beginning of this month. He had the means and the ability to request funding for his wall at any time during those two years. He declined. After his party got spanked at the mid term elections in November he still had 2 months to procure the funds for his wall. He declined. The week before the Democrats were due to take over the majority in the house he claimed there was a border emergency and vetoed a spending bill because it didn't have the $5bn he suddenly required for his border emergency.
