Looking at another thread currently running on THL it would seem that solution would actually be part of the problem.

Short of removing the engine and locking it away in another county how do you keep your vans secure these days? I understand that locks simply give you time but what the actual f*ck are you keeping in them to the point they're teleporting them off your land?

340kbps. Stops the perpetually outraged moving out here full time!

No mate. It's the golf club owned by the same guy that was elected to tackle illegal immigration and actually employs illegal immigrants to cut down on wages and benefits. Whatabout, whatabout, whatabout? The guy that was elected on his promise to build the wall enjoyed a huge majority for half of his first term. He didn't use that majority to get his wall when all he had to do was ask for the money. So he loses his majority at the election and now this is such a priorty that he shuts down the government and furloughs 800,000 people in the name of border security. Why did he

Can anyone explain?

Acting White House chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney has stated today that Don is prepared for another government shutdown over the southern border.

In a quiet corner of New York, while a government shutdown raged a presidentially owned golf club quietly fired a dozen undocumented workers who according to former management were hired under a "Don't Ask. Don't Tell" policy to keep labour costs to a minimum. Interestingly the club doesn't appear in the government's E-Verify system which sifts out undocumented workers over those legally residing in the US. Funny that...

In an interesting twist it turns out that the extra border security personel Don pledged to hire on his election never materialised. The pledge was 15,000 new border control and immigration agents. The total for 2018? 120. " In a sign of the difficulties, Customs and Border Protection allocated $60.7 million to Accenture Federal Services, a management consulting firm, as part of a $297-million contract to recruit, vet and hire 7,500 border officers over five years, but the company has produced only 33 new hires so far. "

There's actually some merit in that. There's evidence to suggest that Donnie's win has effected the mental health of Americans and a clinical psychiatrist has characterized the phenomenon as Trump Anxiety Disorder!! In other news the Republican National Committee has blocked any possible primary challengers to Don's 2020 re-election campaign in "an unprecedented pledge on Friday to give Trump their “undivided support” before he is the party’s official nominee." Whether that will work isn't clear as there are already internal challengers coming forward.

It's beautiful country but can be harsh. 40ºC+ in the summer and can get down to -20ºC in the winter. You might need a jacket and a bit of sunscreen!

Elk, mule deer, and antelope are all over the place. Coyotes and hares too. Lincoln County, Nevada where Area 51 has a landmass of 10,000 sq miles. England is 50,000 by comparison. There are under 6000 people in the whole county so it can be some harsh country for the unprepared. I live in Washington County Utah which is the county next door and it takes me an hour to drive there.

Yeah but you'll need a good lens on your camera! Black-tailed Jackrabbit (Hares)
-
Mate! You're starting to sound like this lad!
-
If you're ever out this way it's a great trip though some harsh country. I'd never entertain the idea of doing it in the summer as there is limited mobile phone coverage and you'd bake before the recovery teams got to you if you ran into problems. Pretty much exactly like that but I'm bald. That is Nevada camoflauge! I used to think the same. Looking at the security and warnings I wouldn't even joke about it within earshot of the guards. It's still a military facility and carries harsh penalties for trespass. Especially with the amount of people visiting it annually, they're h

First you claimed that Don had $7.6 billion approved for the wall, a couple of pages back. He hadn't that was strike one. Second you posted that link above that said Don had offered all these concessions on re-opening the government. He hadn't and even claimed responsibility for the shutdown in the extremely televised meeting they had which was also posted earlier in this thread. Basically the opposite of what that 'journo' was saying in the 3 minute link you posted. That was strike two. The government shutdown is because Don didn't get the extra money for his wall. Period. The gover

161 in two years suggests a little over 300 by 2020 elections. We're hoping to stay above the Fury Vs Wilder thread but we need to keep that post count up! I don't know how many times we've said this, mate, but you're starting to sound like a crazy person. No one here is saying the Dems are the answer. I don't know how many times we have to post that before you understand. Again. No one here is saying the Dems are the answer.
-
Strike Two, that one mate. You're getting worse than Buzzfeed!
-
I honestly don't know, Len. I'm ruling out digital manipulation at this point because the film maker insists it wasn't tampered with. I'm willing to accept that for now and that answer is just too easy at this point. He's also catching a lot of stick for the length of time it's taken to release the footage which is over 2 years. It's a tough call to hypothesise this one as we don't have a picture of the equipment he used to take the footage only a description. Without any further information to that I'm going with insect, small bird, or something floating like a large feather. Without kno

Someone slowed down the original footage. @kanny

Thanks for that one Voon. That's well worth the twelve and a half minutes to watch!
-
That was a far more accurate speech than the one Don cobbled together! Prediction? No wall funding in 3 weeks. Government shutdown recommences. Invoke emergency powers.
-
He works less than Father Christmas and Donald Trump combined!
-
Not a great speaker, is he?
-
I understand that mate but the bantering back and forth is fairly amusing while I have a few days off from the real world! All I've done is sift through the easily available and researchable information from my own libertarian biases and let the reader decide for themselves. They're free to make up their own minds or not as the case may be.
