    Hi guys last year my wee guy was on Glasgow angling for fish of the month and he finished 2nd. Last week we where out fly fishing Ewan's now 11 and was not long after a mini op so we popped out. Anyways I've been leaving him be to set up tie his flies on pick them etc. the water we where on was fishing bleak and I was busy laughing at Ewan raiding the fly box for something to work after a round an hour he let out a holler am took. I wandered over to think he was taking far too much time to get this in when it emerged a real corker for a kid. He managed to land it all in aided an weighed at 4lb

    Sounds ideal mate, we have no such luck up here my pups 5 months old now nearly 6 she's out every second day somewhere a wee wander hoping her nose will catch on soon but doesn't help all the nettles around

    That the young dog again mate?? Great getting them going in some shallow setts eh, good pack there, in a little jealous u have a lot off mink, my terrors have been enjoying playing footy in the garden with the kids an the pup likes the trampoline lol

    Was meant to take a wander up the kobbler myself last week it's only 50 mins up the road but done the ligaments in my foot, so will be a few weeks yet.

    I own a Wheaton grey alittle on the heavy side for running things down but she does have her uses I'm in Glasgow area but won't be taking pups anytime soon

    I too live in a council estate, wasn't blessed with money never had it never needed it saved for everything i own, but was brought up with the older lads telling me the dos an do nots of the country, not too say I never poached as I chanced my arm on most places around me and lamped the same but always closed gates never went in big groups and always always had my dogs stock broke and under control, now in the current days, every summer I try and sett out in different directions for permission and offer my help around the farms if they ever needed. Most off the kid on warriors off the country

    Yeh, looks real tidy maybe something I'd look into nearer the season, I have to get some mk1 boxes etc fixed first and more importantly find some rabbits to go at lol

    its not nice bud but its what you have to do to keep permo we have not really stopped due to call outs, i have a few sheep on myself this this year and it really makes you look at things differently when you look at things thought the farmers eyes. but like you say pal its not a nice task Wasn't mate got the culprit and the farmer belled me just the other day to say things have went quiet which is great, I know where the other litter is but they're way out of sight and keeping the heads down

    Was born into dogs etc, always had a lurcher or terrier for bushing around but my old mans main thing was runners my brother was 12 an me 8 there was a man selling them for a fiver he got a white one I got a polecat and a few nets to get us going, my kids are now 11 and 6 an they're natural to them don't know any different other than having them around
