  1. Good luck next year mate, had a bitter pill this year myself the older bitch has picked some heart thing up so she's been kennelled up since January an to me she's a very special bitch one off them that makes it happen [BANNED TEXT] all is bleak. Flip side is I have bonded better with her daughter but so frustrating when u see the runs the old girl would have ended. All part and parcel N all part of the love for the sport. I hope everyone takes care through the summer plans there season coming with the climate change I think we all got caught out waiting on the change that never came. Here's t
  2. Good nets them fd I'll be doing the same soon but a local lad has doing us a good turn always refreshing when u find a gent. Atb
  3. My two daughter has the white on her face more collie in her again, she l be 2 in July an had a comfortable first season
  4. My 2 have saluki in the mix aswell and have been decent all rounders only thing there not keen on is Charles but good freezer fillers
  5. I tend to spend some time with the misses and the kids to make up for the days u don't quite make it home at the times u say, or become a stranger in ur own house lol, also like to reflect on some good days some bad an some things that happened that was probably my own fault an not the dogs. Also take a wee minute or two to see some places that have held at certain times an how they've changed in the seasons to plan my route for the season ahead. Happy rest folks im sure a lot have earned it
  6. As Fat man says lee, just be careful not to compare him to her. And very hard to do but always try put ur own first when easy setts come up. Only saying as I was given a real good bitch when I had a young one an for a while never had the same patience as I knew she could have done it in half the time. The little bitch I took was the only one I've ever taken that was already working. Ul much prefer saying u got them going than saying she was a worker when u got her if u get me. Patience is the key in the dog world an where most give up, good luck with the young ones and bonding with the new one
  7. How do they compare with the clulite 500 d Lloyd ??

  13. I've sat other side of the fence for hrs and hrs John.and walking through them I will try what you said sitting amongst them.Get sitting amongst them. Yeh mate that's what i do with mine nice and steady not making a big fuss some reassured claps good luck mate wish u all the best
  14. I'm sure u already have as u have stock broke previous dogs, but anyhow I usually get mine to settle to them with just sitting in the same field as them with the dog leaded after a while the sheep start to get closer an jus asserting ur no to them usually lets them see they're not fair game. I had a terrier who was a fecker to break to them could whack him shout till blue in the face an yank him back on the lead. The sitting in regularly settled him to them. Try not to give the dog any anxious vibes u maybe feelin more confident an controlled good luck
  15. This maybe a stupid question but could I mount a ferret locator on his collar and use that?lol. Do u have a mk1 box to go with the ferret collar if so then ye u can get by with that, but I wouldn't get comfy with it. It's amazing how much easier ur life becomes an how much quicker u find ur dog with the bellman
  16. Was thinking the same my last 2 now they were a picture of ugliness lol, smart dogs mate I enjoy ur posts atb
  17. She's not joe a don't lie about what I keep, what she's useful for I don't like using my runners for. But the. I'm sure if most folk where to take the blinkers off they'd find flaws in all dogs
  18. Mines hasn't got the best nose an rather thick her stamina to hot neithers, for me she's a one trick pony but I have my freezer fillers an they're drive is far superior. She is good at what she does though,
  19. I had one not full grey but his mother was full an his dad three quarter grey whippet grey, as u would expect his top speed was frightening but only for a very short period and all stamina went to pot. I used him to sook stuff in an then my wee bitch done the rest, he had a few injuries thru lack off brains, all in all I wouldn't have another
  20. Looks stunning mate an a fair amount off game to be had aswell. Just hope ur a good husband when ur wife can shoot like that lol
