U tried leading him in the field with them, just crouched down along side him telling him no. let them settle not shouting, then walk round them abit till they shift and just a tug of the lead every time with a sharp no. Mines 6 half months now An the process I go thru. I’ve got her now off the lead within 20 yards or so when they move just controlling with my tone. Good luck ?

Cheers mate. She’s been steady, jumps tidy for a pup fine with the ferrets retrieve ain’t bad An steady enough round sheep , not to say I’d trust her totally but she don’t bother. Can’t deal with a dog that ain’t steady to work with ?. How’s ur own going mate

She’s only 6 months mate and daft as a brush but the pennies slowly dropping. If I can get a foundation in with some field manners the rest will come next season when she’s of age ??

Fella is here was kind enough to invite me and the wee man down with the pup for a mooch with the ferret. First spot produced some tiny scuds aswell as some slightly bigger ones and that’s how the day went some big bunnies some small. We was on a place with hedgerows and fence lines . Roxie had a few great catches and the host was as welcoming as ever. Thanks again mate ??

Spot on mate been struggling to find then rabbits this year . Hopefully have a day or 2 ferreting before the end off the season let her learn alittle

Fair play to u Jordan . Sometimes they just don’t match up . You can only hope al be doing the same next season with this pup hoping she tunes in . The old dog looks well and U done well by big stan. ?

Woke up this morning the car showed minus 5 but quickly went to minus 2 as we got driving . Took all the dogs today and thought try some banks and small rubble patches. All was blank until the very last spot where the busher gave a good holler to herself and the old jack followed they went round and round a few minutes barking and crashing then nothing until the old terrier squeezed into a one holer off a tree and got a quick result
