Yep cant argue with anything youve said.....the only thing i think your slightly overlooking is this...hard work,dedication,sacrifice etc is great,but ANYONE can do that....it doesnt equate to being a great sportsman.....great sportsman are BORN not MADE.......if it was just a case of who worked the hardest or who wanted it most then natural skill and talent could be overcome by hard work and dedication......and as you know,they cant !.....I dont believe any great sportsman become great without some kind of gift they were born with,thats what puts them on a different level......that gift d

The trouble with dogs being " property " is where do you draw the line.....can i rip my dogs eyes out while burning his bollocks on the gas hob before slitting his throat for my own amusement ....its my property right ? Obviously everything has its levels,some are acceptable some are not....ive no problem with 2 fellas sorting a problem out with a few right handers....but if they stab or shoot each other thats unacceptable !...the same as puff and class a are opposite extremes. Look for a local buiseness to sponsor the team.....if its a footie team its good advertising for a local buiseness having a name on the shirt in return for buying the kit/balls/training gear etc....what sport and what part of the country you in ? Edited to add....sorry didnt see your flag there.

Tricky one this,some folk are lucky and some are not ....its the difference between getting caught on one side and doing 5 years or getting caught on the other side and doing 30 years ! As an adult human being you weigh these odds up before you play the game and hope luck falls your way.....i have every sympathy with the fella as he had terribly bad luck,but he made judgement before he played the game and lost.....thats life unfortunately.

Where i grew up sports in school was taken very seriously whether it was football in winter or athletics in summer....we had 2 great sports masters both of who pushed us as hard as possible while keeping a strict sense of discipline and hard work.....the same as most other schools in our area......i dont think its any coincidence that over the years id say more succesful sportsman have come out of this area than virtually anywhere else in the uk. Its a crying shame how its gone now,sport encourages great qualities in the young,you dont need to be athletically gifted or have a future in it... -

But its not a " hard work " contest is it.....I,ll use Ian Botham as an example as he won the award in the ,s also.....Botham was known as quite a lazy player when it came to Cricket....but he had such undoubted talent and skill and achieved so much he was a worthy winner of the award......if it was just a case of who works the hardest then somebody like Steve Redgrave should have won it every year considering his accomplishments. Likewise,wasted talent makes my blood boil....what some of us would have done for a touch more talent ! Lewis seems to have all the talent in the world but from what i see he just doesnt have the temperament,which in itself is not really wasted talent....i guess thats another quality it takes to reach the top that not everyone has. Lewis seems too easy to outwit when under pressure and Taylor is the master of the mind games without doubt. Its strange sometimes how such diverse sports can require almost the exact same qualities.....only different in how they show themself.

Thats exactly my point....your lad is dedicating himself to his sport,i know all about the dedication it takes to prepare for a fight,make weight etc etc....i dont miss it one bit and i never competed at the highest level of my sport....so thats a dedication you have to make merely to compete....at any level.....you see my point ?....some of us would train and train and train with total dedication,if we didnt possess the natural talent and skill in the first place there is a point we can reach and go no further.......the true greats of sport have immense natural talent meaning that same dedica

You got to be realistic mate....who is going to be taken seriously,a legitimate official politician in a suit and tie.....or a bunch of mouthy yobs with scarves over their face hiding their identity running round the streets shouting ! Huntings no different to any other hobby....you will get people seriously into it and others who just have a dabble....you cant dictate how seriously somebody takes a hobby just because someones not out every day in all weathers dont mean they dont have a right to look in on a hunting website....myself i come under the occasional dabble bracket,a couple of chaps near me know a hell of a lot more than me and take it very seriously i just tag along occasionally simply because i find it very interesting....so im certainly no hardcore hunter....but like anything else,theres a time and place to ask
