  1. Very sad......sorry for your loss all who knew him.
  2. I dont buy that...if you notice the last one he kicks it at one angle and the ball comes down at a completely different angle.....plus the fact its on sand,in bare feet would make it a million to one to get one in let alone three
  3. Best of luck to you.....will be good to see a new side in the premier league....im not a fan of these play offs so coming third in the league it would be fair and proper if Swansea were the side to go up.
  4. Spot on ....only in a country as f****d up as this is their people who are more interested in the tiny weaknesses of a man than the massive strengths.....they gain fame and fortune through their skill and talent but then people want to forget about that and desperately try to uncover some pathetic little bit of scandal to drag them down with. Its a sorry sign of the times that we even know these boys wives names or how many kids they have or indeed anything whatsoever to do with their private lives.......its all reality tv nonsense giving sad little women something to moan about.
  5. I havent looked on this thread as Walter Smiths a manager i dont know too much about but having clicked on the last page i see yous are onto the old leagues bashing debate again Why on earth a Scot would have the cheek to knock the English premier league is beyond me .....i dont see any reason to think Walter Smith couldnt have done well down here, infact just as well as any of the other Scots who have been succesful.....but to think he would have automatically done great just because of his success up there is ridiculous......and that can be said about everything, theres no reason to think
  6. Id keep Parker and the young academy boys....and let the rest go,but realistically we,ve just got to cash in we cant expect Parker,Green,Cole,Bridge and a few others to stay......just as long as we keep the youngsters.
  7. As a West Ham fan... OUTS 1.Goalkeepers 2.Defenders 3.Midfielders 4.Strikers 5.Substitutes INS 1.Anyone 2.Anyone 3.Anyone 4.Anyone 5.Anyone
  8. Nice ...had a place just outside Costa Adeje in Tenerife a few years back but didnt use it enough to make it worth keeping....used to get all sorts of mad looking lizards round the place.
  9. Im not joking Wilf, the man looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights half the time....the part of the ground im in is about 20 yards above and to the left of the dugout....as you say this can be a pretty brutal place when things dont go well and he would just look petrified !.....he just wasnt the type of character for a club like this from day 1 and neither was Zola.....being nice fellas just dont cut it.
  10. If you remember the up and down years of the early 90,s he took us up in 90,down in 91 then back up in 92.....before one Mr Harry Redknapp got the job.....you reckon old Arry will come back
  11. Which island you on mate ?...nice pics by the way
  12. Twice in the same year, its almost worth the dissapointment of going down just to take up with Millwall again Funny you should say about Walter Smith he came into a discussion last night....its not like we can be fussy and we,re unlikely to get a more succesful manager....he wouldnt be my number 1 choice but with his record, maybe he should be !
  13. There you go Wilf....you,ve smashed the nail on the nut with this statement Id rather lose Parker,Green,Upson etc than lose the likes of Noble,Collison,Tomkins,Hines as they are the core of the clubs future.....little Mark Noble is hero worshipped at Upton Park yet he,s not a great player he,s just an honest talented local kid out of the flats living his dream which is playing for West Ham. Was discussing it all earlier another name came into the frame for manager....Martin Allen....passionate,commited,bit of experience, and a West Ham man.
  14. Just because you dont go to games and i do doesnt make you any less of a football than me mate ....Alan Devonshire is manager of a non league side down Richmond way,Scott Parker will definately move and i dont blame him he,s too good for this club at the moment we couldnt expect him to see out his career in the championship that wouldnt be fair.Your right we have had some real good players down here, names that most folk would probably have in the back of their mind without realising this is where they came from. In your position Lanesra id be pulling my hair out ....at West Ham we know we
  15. Theres only 5 grounds in all 4 divisions ive never been to and Doncaster is one of them so if nothing else it will be an experience....ive tried to latch onto bigger clubs when i was younger mate i just cant do it this clubs in my blood,so with that you have to take what comes with it....Evertons a ground i always enjoy visiting you scousers know your sport and your just as passionate as we are so i,ll miss those trips....hopefully it wont be too long
  16. Wilf i dont know anymore than the next man mate and you yourself know the club and know the area so your opinions as valued as anyones.....so in a nice over a cup of rosie kind of way i,ll just add...i didnt mean the whole entire squad or even team,i just meant how it used to be....of course you cant have a whole team of fresh faced youngsters you need the experienced players to help bring them through,as an example Trevor Brooking,Billy Bonds when Cottee,Dicks and their generation were coming through.....all i mean is this club was never about going out buying expensive footballers to buil
  17. Dont think we,ll bounce straight back up but we,ll get there Click on this link Stan.......click on " one off donation ".....you seem a good lad so i trust you,ll do it ,they are good folk and a very worthwhile cause. http://www.havenshospices.org.uk/little_havens_care
  18. As you know Wilf Paolo is loved down here,he even has a lounge suite named after him !....but a football manager he is not, passion and enthusiasm will only get you so far, look what happened last time we put a great foreign player in charge who had virtually no experience in management,Zola went out and bought a bunch of foreign players and totally disregarded what this club has been built on.....young local talent......Tony Carr is the hero behind this club yet his power has been taken away by foreign managers who dont understand the traditions round here. I disagree about the players, this sq
  19. I know what your saying Dan i spose we all want to compete with the best its the nature of sport....i knew early on in the season we would be going down but you always hope to be proved wrong of course. The only consolation is getting into the ol Bushwhackers again though i think it will probably be played behind closed doors myself. Think your lot will probably stay up at least i hope so anyway....im a purist i like the big clubs to be playing at the highest level...and make no bones about it Wolves are a big club with history. All the best.
  20. [quote name='pegleg33' timestamp='1305535475' post='2060516' I'm no QPR fan but my understanding of the Falcao thing (whatever his name is) was that the deal was done before Warnock took over.Plus to be fair as a neutral i think Blades were hard done to over the whole affair and i'd of been interested in the outcome if it had happened the other way around.I'm no Blades fan either, i keep an eye on them as my mates lad is the under 18's captain and alot of my friends support them Anyway a sad time for your club and i can only hope you bounce back next year to where you belong As for you
  21. What a prick !.....He wants to try watching the Hammers his f****n head would explode !!
  22. I dont want Warnock mate he is the devil,he cost this club millions then went and done the same thing himself ! I wouldnt be surprised if Steve Mclaren got the job.....but by choice i would have Chris Hughton myself.
  23. We have to be grateful to Gold and Green, they saved our club.....but the reality is they made the cardinal sin of looking forwards instead of backwards !.... And its come back to bite them in the ass, needless to say,my thoughts about them are somewhat mixed
  24. Not when your already million in debt, about to borrow another 40 million from Newham council, and need to spend a further 55 million on a state of the art ground !....he might be a bit simple that fella the moose but he speaks sense, sometimes.
  25. Well thats my Hammers dead and buried.....i dare say some of us take sport too serious sometimes but when you put so much hope into something for so little reward it can be a depressing path we walk.I love this club, its cost me literally thousands over the years without ever really having much to shout about,so to fall away like we have tests every last bit of loyalty, the times ive said " thats it ive had enough "....as any real fan of a club knows, you always go back ! Coming back down the m6 yesterday i was adamant i would never go to another West Ham game,by the time i got home i realised i
