  1. Sorry chief didnt see that little question.... I like him he,s a good fighter i followed his career for a few years now....personally i dont think he hits hard enough to beat the best but he,s certainly a top level fighter.....his biggest asset ive seen is he has a great attitude to the game and really lives the life and loves the sport....with the ability he has that will take him a long way but i feel his lack of power will prevent him beating the best the division has to offer.
  2. I think you just gotta stand back and let them find their feet...let them enjoy the sport they are good at......if and when they start to take it more serious thats the time for you to do the same.....the mistake i made was trying to dedicate my son to the sport before he was ready....as the saying says " you cant do it for them "..... If i had my time again thats how id play it anyway.
  3. Oh i dunno gnasher, remember Bryan Roy or Jason Lee at Forest  Of all the players you could name....Jason Lee was from my manor....as a kid all he had was size,he would win everything in the air and was quite formidable for other kids to play against because of his size and strength......but on the deck yes he wasnt great, didnt help of course when he grew a pineapple on his nut ....but....even he had something that got him to the level he played at,not fancy skills no....but who said ability has to be purely about how good you are with a ball at your feet....you wouldnt call To
  4. I respect your opinion Wilf and i do know from previous posts your not his biggest fan to say the least .....but to say he is not capable or useless,i think your wrong mate..........at the highest level of any sport theres a fine line between ability and performance, you can have all the ability in the world with no performance....but you just cant have consistent good performance with no ability.....now,Carlton Cole didnt reach the very top of his profession by having no ability......at Chelsea Ranieri called him " the best young talent he had ever coached "....now while i accept that is pro
  5. Yep not nice is it mate.....what puts me on even more of a guilt trip is my boy loves the game now he often comes down the Hammers with me.....he only fell out of love with the game for the years i was on his back !!...Id like to think ive made it up to him career wise but thats not the point is it.....certainly a tick in the f**k ups column for me
  6. I like the look of him he looks a good prospect......always worries me with them really tall lads though, everything comes off the jab and if they dont have a really good sharp jab they seem to lose their shape especially when under pressure. Interesting times for the heavyweights been a long time since we,ve had some decent match ups in England.
  7. Its so easily done mate at all levels.....i made a massive mistake with my son that i,ll always regret....he was a promising footballer as a teenager, signed pro terms with Leyton Orient ( ok not world beaters but he had his foot in the door )....id always wanted to play footie but was crap so found myself living my dreams through him.....got to the point where i was pushing too hard,as a 17 year old he wanted to go out on the lash of a friday and id be drumming it into him to have an early night to be up fresh for tomorrows game...id be trying to steer him away from birds and everything......h
  8. I started playing golf a short while ago....ive had a hole in one and im f****n useless i can just smash the ball a long way thats all,the rest was down to pure luck.....ok i accept a pro golfer is relying less on luck and more on technique......but i have heard it said that within the pro game a hole in one like that is looked on as a bad shot !....simply because bouncing in the hole on the second bounce being a freak occurence, the likelihood is the ball will actually go quite a way past the hole.... For me pure skill has nothing to do with either machinery strength or endurance.....its pu
  9. Firstly im over the moon for Kevin Mitchell he,s a good kid out of the flats who just had too much too early and was brought down to earth with a bang last time out,no excuses but before his last fight his mrs left,he was drinking too much....the loss just totally done the kid in he was totally embarassed especially being at Upton Park.....any kid grown up poor to suddenly have money is a big test, and Kevin failed that test.....but good on him for dedicating himself i was made up for him last night he fought the perfect fight as he was always the better boxer....dont underestimate the part his
  10. Powers one thing....speed is something entirely different............id like to see a Ford Cougar braking from 250 mph to standstill in 10 seconds ! This car kind of puts me in mind of these kids putting a big 4" tailpipe, rollcage and bucket seats on their 1.1 Fiestas ......spose if you like a sheep in wolfs clothing, its great......but 50 odd grand for a bodykit you sure !!
  11. Im no big fan of the lad but in all honesty i,ll be glad if he stays, infact i,ll be glad of any premiership players staying......we got to face it we,re championship level now and although on the last few years form Cole is not premiership quality he,s certainly capable....personally i think he might do well in this league it might be just what a few of our players need for their confidence, not that im thinking its going to be plain sailing, but players like Cole at this stage are likely to be good championship level players. Now im over the initial shock and upset of going down im really look
  12. He,s got a fair shout...but personally i think its another case of too much too soon the kid needs to learn his trade, even if he did beat Chisora he,ll get found out quick enough.....

    messers

If you sell cars you,ll get the occasional messers,if you sell dogs you,ll get the same.......the reality is you dont want the dog so if you have to sell you have to accept.....thats life.
  14. Id be surprised if they really were all ol bill....surely they are not naive enough to think 20 loud fellas are going to stroll into a pub/club with no hassle. As for the one in question....if you know his name forget complaints procedures just have a word with the people who pay his wages, which if up theres like any other big city you wont have to go through any police ! You have to ask yourself, would you have given it a second thought if they were normal everyday folk,no......maybe your thinking too much cos a few of them are plod !
  15. Very good i enjoyed reading that ....good to see things from a dogs perspective
  16. I disagree i dont think Golf takes great skill.....for instance a hole in 1 is at least % luck....look at that one Tom Watson hit today,i suppose he meant it to drop in the hole on the second bounce .... Id say the pub sports probably require more skill than most others ( if you accept them as sports that is )....snooker especially, unbelievable the touch them fellas have.
  17. Must admit i couldnt give something away that i wasnt hundred % about.....my attitude is if its not good enough for me its not good enough for you.....
  18. ....I thought the fella held it together quite well actually......at least the tv stayed in one piece
  19. They more than likely didnt know what the law was themself !....Stop and ask any everyday plod about the dangerous dogs law and very few will be able to tell you the exact details.... The sad part of the law is that the genuine folk who owned the breed have already paid the price and lost dogs etc.....leaving the street hoodlum idiot types free to do what they like.....in other words, the genuine folk with genuine dogs paved the way for the idiots....the only saving grace being the dogs they think are genuine apbt are mostly crossbred mongrels !
  20. Mitchells an emotional kid and he fights that way,his younger brothers exactly the same they still have a little too much streetfight type of anger in them........his mind was all over the place last time out but he seems bang on for this one....as for Nicky Cook, think it could be once too many times to the well for him, hope im wrong...but the kid Burns is on a roll right now and has the momentum and confidence going in. I dont think Bellew will have it all his own way either so some decent fights hopefully
  21. He,s the Scouse kid, middleweight right ?....yes i think he,s on the undercard, not sure who he,s fighting though.
  22. Any of the boxing lads going to watch the fights at the weekend ?.....Big night for East London with Kevin Mitchell v Jon Murray and Nicky Cook v Ricky Burns......sadly i dont think either of our boys will win though Kevins in much better shape than his last few fights..... Looking forward to the Bellew/Mckenzie rematch as well should be another exciting fight..... Was at the Echo Arena last year should be a good atmosphere and another good night of fights.......come on the West Ham boys Any predictions ?
  23. " 25% of Bostons 30,000 population are East European " ....cant believe that....stone me,i was up there about 10 years ago for a few weeks i thought it was a nice place with nice people in general......just shows how quick areas can go down the toilet !....wonder what makes them target an area like that.
  24. The irony is.......some of the folk you describe as neanderthals dont have to run their buiseness they have people doing it for them ...and you have the front to think your a higher class because you can spell and understand words with more than 3 syllables......what a lemon
  25. Says a man calling people who wear certain clothing childish names such as neanderthals.... Talk about kettle/black......so if one of these neanderthals challenged you to back up your name calling face to face would you confront him at eye level or retreat into the comfort of familiar behaviour patterns where you feel secure ( an internet forum ) I was finding the fella vaguely interesting until i realised the lack of character ! This magdon fella reminds me of one of these little yorkshire terriers that keeps humping away at your ankles, you keep trying to ignore it but now and the
