Macklin surprised me he did a lot better than i thought he would,i had the fight a draw which considering it was in Germany and Macklin was the challenger you cant really argue that it went Sturms way.... Sturms punches had a lot more sting but Macklin was the buisier fighter so as a judge its whether you liked the quality or the quantity.....Still plenty ahead yet though for Macklin he gave a great account of himself.

I know when i used to give my dogs a lot of road walking it would take 14 minutes to walk 1 mile and thats probably three quarter pace....used to do 2 hours max.....= around 8/9 miles So to do that for another 75 miles at a faster pace ...thats never normal ....must take some doing

Absolutely right....i knew a fella on similar charges to the one here except it involved fighting dogs,they couldnt do him for that so tried to do him for treating a dog himself,couldnt get that to stick so tried to do him for being in possession of controlled veterinary drugs,couldnt make that stick so ended up doing him on the plain old dangerous dogs act !....I believe the rspca see cases like this as free advertising,if they think it will create enough coverage to make old auntie doris put her hand in her pocket for extra donations they,ll go for it....if not they wont.

Fair point.....i guess its one of those situations where you just have to have trust in your manager,and its not like Fergie is a stranger to getting the best from a player....time will tell i suppose,any other manager and you might question it but when its someone like that you can have confidence in any decision however strange it seems at the time.

Thats right its all about timing....its often a very close line between being at your peak and being just passed it,sadly i think Arthur/Cook have just passed theirs....if Burns wins this he dont need to be looking back he can go onto bigger things.....Still id like to see Nicky Cook pull something out the bag though

He looked good yesterday hopefully he can keep going though i cant see him touching Federrer..........i couldnt care less what he says he,s a Brit so i hope he does well.Personally i dont think he,s got the mental strength to go all the way but a top class player all the same.

Yes but could you see Barcelona buying him .... I get your point i just think if thats the biggest name Utd sign for next season they are not seriously out to topple Barcelona,win the Premiership yes im sure they will,but according to Fergie their sights were fully set on Barcelona next year.

Thats where it can get silly though....whats superficial ?....so 1 dog needs a couple of stitches the other dog has a muscle tear.....the muscle tear is by far the more serious injury yet you would get away without taking that to the vet but not the 2 stitches !......Common sense should be the deciding factor but its something the rspca dont possess.

I agree.....it looks quite obvious to me that this was staged to show they wasnt afraid or going to take any shit it was a ridiculous thing to say in the first place.....but once somebody has spat in your face then all bets are off and you have gone beyond what you can come back from,so it was 6 of one half a dozen of the other in my opinion.......but in general,it doesnt come across in a good light if your a bnp supporter,ok it will to the average working Englishman in the street,but the average working Englishman is becoming a minority,a political party has to appeal to the old dears the you

He got off light....had it been a different breed it could have been a lifetime ban possibly jail.... its the old " unecessary care and attention by failing to provide veterinary care " laws.....id imagine the rspca had to be involved,because they always tell the truth of course If he had just said it was a lurcher ( no bull )....and said it happened in the field ( not in a kennel fight )....my guess is he wouldnt have been prosecuted

How you doing mate,yes its a fight i dont think Cook should have taken,he had a long lay off and then just 1 quick easy win.....i cant see him getting away with that going into a fighter with the class of Burns....and Burns has the momentum at the moment he,s improving with every fight.....Nicky Cooks a local lad and a good fighter so id like to see him do well but i think his best days are behind him id be surprised if Burns doesnt stop him to be honest.

No he wouldnt have any fear of losing,you dont reach that level of your sport by having fear.....it just makes sense for both of them not to meet,whereas it does to the rest of the world and thats why they probably will fight.....its a shame they are likely to meet when they are both passed their peak. I know he,s some sort of president or something over there.I think you,ll find football and basketball are their most popular sports but yes they are certainly high on the birds in their culture.

I bet in his heart of hearts....he doesnt. These 2 boys are rich enough to not need the fight,they have both established a legendary status within the sport,they both probably realise the only person that could defeat them is each other...........why risk it. That said i think the sport will demand it.

The Olympics being an amateur sport id like to see a bunch of British army boys representing us at the Olympics.....the top pros dont want to play in it anyway so why not reward some of the brave young men of the armed forces with pulling on a GB footie jersey im sure they are plenty fit enough and it would be something that would stay with them for life....they could probably get a decent little side together as well.
