  1. I dont see whats arrogant about asking a mans name !! Look....i didnt mean to embarrass you......but like a lot of people, you made something up,got rumbled.....and instead of doing what a proper chap should do and admitting it you tried to carry it on............then turning it on me and saying " im out " as an excuse for not explaining your bullshit...... You hate arrogance fine....i hate liars
  2. Try and keep your emotions out of it for a minute mate.... Its not the bottom line !!...You have made a big statement that i knew as soon as you said it was wrong......Khans amateur record has been well publicised going back to childhood its no big secret..... So what were these 2 fights he lost....pillow fights ?.....Nobody can start making up a career I dont like the kid anymore than you but i judge a fighter with the head not the heart and he has done well. I ask again....what is the name of this Scottish fighter and why is their no record of it anywhere in the world ?....
  3. My mother beat me in an arm wrestle twice when i was 9 but she couldnt beat me now ...i think your missing the point mate,Khans a world champion now if its a fight worth happening it will happen. I didnt ask where he,s from or what he,s doing i asked what his name is thats all ? You see, call me cynical.....but i think your making up fairytales Khans amateur record was 100/2.....the 2 losses both being at the hands of the Cuban who beat him in the Olympic final....i forget his name but he wasnt from the West of Scotland
  4. Your getting too emotional mate......my point is,if this lad was good enough they would have both made a lot of money with a lucrative rematch.........but its not a lucrative rematch if they are at completely different levels......whats his name just out of interest ?
  5. Just out of interest chief...exactly how small is this Porsche ?....not remote control is it .....dont get all charged up mate im only playing
  6. Why would a pro fighter fight an amateur thats not how things work...... If the Scottish lad was good enough he would have turned pro and no doubt fought him at a later date.....clearly he wasnt good enough.
  7. Good stuff ....Great little website that ive found a few things of interest on there.
  8. Im not sure how it works up there mate but down here most clubs reward the season ticket holders with what they call loyalty points....all clubs are different i expect but my lot ( in the slim chance we ever got to a cup final ) would offer a season ticket holder the first dibs on tickets......but then you always get the floating fans at cup finals anyway. No like i say...i,ll talk footie with anyone i dont mind if they went to the game.... Your no less of a fan mate just circumstances change in all our lives.....im the type of prat that if it came to going to the Hammers or paying the bil
  9. Does the pain of defeat hurt any less ? does the pleasure of victory feel any better ?....of course its more enjoyable sharing it with your likeminded pals and the whole day of going to footie.....but it dont make you any more of a fan...not in my book anyway. Ive been watching my team home and away for as long as i can remember, season ticket holder near 20 years....for me its a priority but that dont make me any more of a fan than someone who cant make it a priority.....i listen to any mans views on football i couldnt care less if he go,s to games or not i dont enjoy the games any more now
  10. Is there a story to this ? .... Seems somewhat odd that theres a big crowd of onlookers and gunmen not even aiming ....The Spanish do running the bulls....this mob do run the leopard
  11. Not getting involved in all this carry on,just wanted to make a point.....it doesnt take a season ticket holder or even somebody to go to games to be a serious fan of their club, ive never bought into that theory myself even though i see my team regularly......i know a fella whos probably the most knowledgable and serious football fan ive ever seen but has never been to a game, not due to money either he just cant be in crowds......thats the beauty of sport,ANYBODY can be a dedicated knowledgable fan regardless of finances.
  12. Is it bollocks ....Aint been down the Old Kent Rd in years its bandit country....least not since they pulled the Henry Cooper down or the scum were at the Old Den i forget which. Anyway id stomp me plates all over that saucy fat c**ts boat without getting 1 drop of claret on me trotters Then again maybe just settle for a nice cup of rosie im too brittle to pull it off these days
  13. Not sure about last English sporting legend......but certainly an admirer of Botham will give it a watch, cheers Not a fan of cricket but he certainly made it worth watching......and the charity work he,s done is nothing short of incredible........seems a good man.....didnt he play footie and cricket professionally at the same time at one stage,or maybe im thinking of someone else.
  14. ....What a f****n lunatic !......certainly aint me im not quite as pretty as him even with his headgear on That was blindin he,s certainly a funny f****r ...and i thought i had some rabbit ! Thats Johnny Eames gym in Canning Town, spent a lot of time in their and theres been some good fighters come out of there. I think that fella did a bit himself in his younger ( and slimmer ) days......i forget his proper name now he,s a stand up comedian if im not wrong.....moves decent enough to suggest he,s mixed it a bit anyway..... Good find that Mr Bird ........F for fink......class
  15. We,re going round in circles here..........i totally agree, give me 11 Roy Keanes over 11 Ronaldo,s or Messi,s any day of the week..................but in a topic about " skill " i just found it odd that Roy Keanes name should crop up.....but then i guess no more odd than Bobby Moores name cropping up so maybe we,re both as scatty as each other Heres a simple way id look at it.....we could both name 50 more skillful players than Keane....but i bet we couldnt name even 3 better tacklers than Moore...... Just out of interest by the way.......who do you Mancs generally think more highly of
  16. The thing is Blan, you sound a sensible educated chap, hopefully you dont and wont have much to do with the police, hence you can have these far out thoughts......but folk who do have the occasional run in with plod quickly learn the way to deal with them, and its not by seeking more attention than is absolutely necessary. As regards your " we should have less police " theory....i find that totally barmy !....I dont think you have really thought it through, for instance,as well as enforcing laws police are a basic visual detterent ( when they are actually walking the beat ! )....as far as im conce
  17. Yep i know what your saying the games on the slide in general.....sky tv are perking it up a bit at the moment but thats unlikely to last.......if not for the bars/restaurants at tracks there would be no greyhound racing anymore which is sad really.I used to own a number of dogs that ran at Walthamstow till they closed it down a few years ago ....They was with Mick Puzey,i was conditioning another breed at the time we used to swap the odd thoughts and ideas....i soon realised when it came to actual conditioning i probably knew a lot more than he did....but then he had a 250 acre farm to hous
  18. no now your just twisting my words.............obviously he had a certain amount of skill....but he will not be remembered for his skillful touch as a quality he will be remembered for his great engine, will to win and general footballing brain........similar i suppose to Bryan Robson before him....great player but certainly wont be remembered for his finnesse and silky skills........i stand by what i said, when it comes to tackling as a skill never has there been better in the English game than Bobby Moore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6ZP8zdhCOc
  19. I worshipped the ground the man walked on.....he,s my all time sporting hero....and probably one of the classiest human beings ever been born in my eyes ....... But you name me a better tackler in British football past or present and i,ll admit ive got claret and blue goggles on ....on this occasion,im simply talking as a football fan
  20. Im not going to fall out over it so i,ll just make my point and leave it at that ....i dont disagree that Roy Keane was one of the greatest and most valuable allround players the premiership has seen.....but i simply wouldnt class him as a skillful player, not even a skillful tackler.....he was extremely tough and fearless, wouldnt back down and never shirked a 50/50 ball....all great qualities...................but as an example,in my opinion the most skillful tackler ive ever seen play the game past or present was Bobby Moore and he was certainly no tough guy like Roy Keane was....he would t
  21. What type of tracks and what grade racing though ( not being nosey and that aint a direct question )....very few top level races are won by dogs that are not off the known top trainers.
  22. Its only a violation of your human rights if thats what you as an individual take it to be..............to most people being asked your details by a copper after acting suspiciously is basic common procedure that you accept like a grown up.........unless of course you happen to be an attention seeker who is happy to spend 6 hours doing exactly the same thing that could have taken 3 minutes, while making a video of it of course
  23. [quote name='willow' timestamp='1311149342' post='2158522' mate who do you fancy i think fury for a £5 my piggy :piggy: jar has that in Im gonna stick with Delboy.....though i think its likely to be a messy fight to watch.
  24. Without a doubt he would probably walk into near any team in world football......but not for his skills,he had many great qualities but skills with a ball at his feet were not one of them...........and the topic is about skill after all said and done
  25. Down the line is down the line.....but now is now and he is claiming he can beat Klitchsko.....now !!......the only thing that really makes him a decent prospect is his size, his actual boxing ability is pretty poor......but thats ok thats the nature of the heavyweight division these days you just have to play to your strengths its often not a case of who the better boxer is in the heavyweights..... I have my doubts he can take a solid shot.....but its an interesting little domestic match up anyway.
