Middle row left is Mittee.......Middle row centre is indeed Ray Winston who boxed for England several times...... top left and right were both aba champions.......the Donny Osmond lookalike is Terry Barker father of Darren........next to him is Bobby Flint good little fighter his brother Jimmy was a good pro.......not sure who the little weirdo on the bottom right is ! Are there specifically made heaters for bird rooms or aviaries ?........Or do most folk not bother.........im convinced by birds are cold and just wondered if theres a special type of heater ??

Had my daughter round today so got her to put a pic up......this is why im too embarrassed to post any .......this sorry looking bunch was from Repton abc 1976........the one in the middle row on the right is me looking like a trainee serial killer .......theres a few other reasonably well known kids dont know if anyone will recognise them.......theres an ex world champion,a few aba champions,the father of a world class fighter, an ex heavyweight villain ( Tuffty you may possibly recognise him as your from the manor.....not to say you keep that sort of company of course )....a universally fam

I find that a pretty bizarre comparison..........the idea of drinking in a bar isnt to get in a car and kill people...........is having a gun under your pillow a social activity !!..... Far as im concerned them yanks are a pretty scatty bunch........was listening to some mush on the radio today saying the best way to combat the problem is to arm teachers .................only in America !

I didnt have you down as that old Brookie.....certainly a great fight i once heard it said about Leonard " he is the best at nothing but second best at everything "...always thought it was a good description.......if im not wrong that fight was the month before Ali,s last fight........they said at the time it was the best and worst the sport had to offer !

Totally agree............only a complete fool,or someone so wrapped up in hero worship could possibly put Joe Calzaghe,s name in the same sentance as Ray Robinson........and keep a straight face !!

I did indeed......and a few others Funso Banjo,Trevor Curry......and the one who hit harder than all of them was Horace Notice but he wasnt quite big enough......Horace was like a smaller version of Bruno if he,d had a bit more size to him he,d of been a top fighter in my opinion......Bruno and Mason with the big 12 ounce gloves on even if you blocked the punch they could still get you over.......it was a strong gym back then Andries,Kaylor,Watt,Pyatt,Magri,Jimmy Batten,Honeyghan,Laing when he felt like it !

Any fighter will tell you calendar years will not show as much wear and tear as miles on the clock do...............Benn and Eubank had far more miles on the clock than Collins did when they met.

If fights are there to be made,money,venue and timing being right......they usually get made.......im sure Calzaghes father would defend his son the same as im sure Jones father would defend his...........i dont know for fact one way or the other im just going on the assumption that top fighters usually get top names if they really want them...........and harsh as it sounds Joe Calzaghe never fought a top name........i find that a bit of a coincidence ......and they are not digs mate i wouldnt have " digs " at any pro fighter im not like that.........its just talking boxing thats all. No Gary was part of the Royal Oak with Terry Lawless i first met him at Broad St gym then a few years later Frank Black and George Francis brought him to the Oak he just didnt look like a fighter he was quite soft and fleshy but he could certainly bang Frank was a physically stronger man and he had a horrible jab but when his feet were planted Gary had more sting in his punches...........painful memories

Each other for a start !............Benn twice went into the lions den to take titles off world champions on their own patch.................Benn was supposed to fight Michael Nunn,there was issues over money and Benn was told by Don King if you dont accept it and take the Nunn fight we,re going to put you in with " mini Mike Tyson ".....( Gerald Mclellend ).......Benn knew he was being threatened so said " great i,ll fight him then "...............the rest is history.

All your doing is looking at a fighters win column !...........Yes he beat Benn and Eubank but like Calzaghe the only big names he beat was right at the end of their careers........The only other big name Collins ever fought was Mike Mccallum and he lost. We could put you in a ring tonight with Muhammed Ali and there will be a W in your win column...............will people look at that in years to come and say Floyd was a better fighter than Ali........not if they can see further than a list of wins they wont
