  1. Competetive bodybuilding is for a very tiny percent of lifters...........................is Crufts a dog sport ?...id say no myself but by your reckoning it must be. You can laugh and mock all you like mate after all said and done a man only has himself to please...............if lifting is not for you thats fine.....but why people feel a need to take the piss i dont understand that, thing ive noticed is they never stand in front of you and say it.......but like i say, human nature is funny like that sometimes.
  2. That picture is during training inside a gym not in the local pub or restaurant what do you want people to train in whooly jumpers and denims ?....Freedom of movement is more important than fashionable clothing...........Ive never hung around in rooms with lots of mirrors,i go in the gym, train and get out...... Some folk seem to have very steroetyped attitudes to certain things.....funny that, when the boots on the other foot and people steroetype hunters as evil nasty scum those same people start moaning about being sterotyped ....human natures a funny thing sometimes.
  3. No,but then i wouldnt like the idea of my son boxing, getting in street fights, rumping as many birds as possible......and a thousand other things ive done myself...............but thats just being a parent i guess,i know i cant control his life and if he chose that life id make sure he did it with good information and advice, same as anyone else who asked my advice on the subject.Like most subjects mate......people only remember the extreme cases the media wish to protray as examples or the extreme stories people tell and develop an impression.......the millions of other run of the mill unremark

  5. Yes exactly like JLS....very pretty haircut, lovely nose and teeth.......definately a fashionconscious homo ! Gnasher please do not aim your roid rage at me.....as I said if you read my post properly, steroids are more popular than ever due to the JLS'alikes. Bodybuilders & strongman have always, will always used gear. Let comments sink in before mouthing off mate, I've not once had a go at you Dont get excited mate i was merely having a joke saying not all bodybuilders look like JLS !........maybe you need listen to your own advice
  6. I never said weight lifting is for vanity. What I actually said, I don't understand why people who are so Heath conscience pump there body's full of drugs. I still find that bewildering. If you do weights and find you've stopped growing, that's nature, that's your body reached its natural peak. If that means you aren't physically able to compete against someone naturally bigger.... That's life. To artificially build yourself up in order to gain an equal or better strength against them is wrong in my book. If no one took steroids in the lifting game it be fairer for the guys who don't touch it.
  7. So are the ones who dont compete not bodybuilders then ?...........is a bodybuilder who trains for personal achievement....not a bodybuilder ?
  8. What makes bodybuilding a sport....any more than building a fast car is a sport ?................. A competitive bodybuilder surrounded by thousands of pounds of equipment is no more " a bodybuilder " than somebody who trains with a barbell at home for personal achievement.
  9. If you read through my posts you will see that i've already stated that!!! You've obviously not read the entire thread. I've been hospitalised and was told i could easily have died due to steroid abuse. Bodybuilders do lift for strength as you have to get stronger in order to grow and as you grow you will get stronger but with the bodybuilder the most important factor is looks!!! We,re going round in circles here mate....im merely saying strongman competitors and bodybuilding competitors are not even remotely similar..........the only thing the same is that they both train lifting heavy we
  10. The reason bodybuilders lose size (mass) when on an off period is because steroids make the body retain water (water retention) particularly in muscles so you would lose mass from that alone. There are different types of bodybuilder. There's the mass monters that just train heavy constantly for mass without thinking about proportion, cutting up etc. That's the guys you see on Worlds Stongest Man etc...there's the true bodybuilders (imo) that sculpt their bodies for proportion....that's guys like Arnold, Lee Haney, Ron Coleman etc. These types of bodybuilders are the true bodybuilders that wi

  14. Worse.....theres acting a c**t.....and being a c**t !
  15. Everything else in place training/diet/rest etc etc steroids WILL help bring out the best of what a body can become....thats a fact nobody can deny.........but if those other things are not in place its a waste of time.....steroids are not for everyone even seasoned lifters......you could be the strongest most hardworking clean living determined bodybuilder in the world....if you are not gifted genetically you will never reach competition level,so for some people natural is the way to go. My gripe is with these pretty boys you see who want to get big to go and stand on a door !......They have
  16. We,re still being put on the same boring guilt trips Geldoff started 30 years ago............as Wilf said,if you cant get your act together after all this time and money ! After all said and done......how long do you continue to throw money at something before you just wipe your hands of the whole thing......i feel for the poor people but some folk are lucky and some aint we shouldnt have to feel guilty about being lucky and we,ve done our bit.
  17. Its always amused me when folk who know nothing about bodybuilding just presume that anyone who takes it seriously must be " vain " !!............Baw you say " its got to be solely vanity "................why ?..........if i buy a fast car and pay money to make it even faster is that due to vanity ?........if i have a good dog who catches plenty of bunnies, but i get him super fit so he can catch even more bunnies,is that vanity ?................this logic that people spend thousands of pounds with absolutely no return, spend years gaining knowledge, years working hard pushing their bodies......i
  18. In the first 10 years of lifting theres always something you can do to stimulate new growth..............just most people cant be bothered to find it and take what they think is the easy route.......had they waited till their body was ready they wouldnt of had as many problems.Everybody has plateaus thats just an accepted part of lifting............but very few people really have the character to reach even close to their natural genetic potential......If someone doesnt understand their body in its natural state how can they be expected to understand it unnatural...........nobody learns to dri
  19. 22 years old and taking steroids !!.............. your body has barely stopped growing..........when a man reaches close to his full genetic potential naturally, thats the time to look towards steroids for a helping hand...................for most mature men thats 7 - 10 years of lifting............far as im concerned juice for lads in their 20,s meant they didnt have the guts to do it the hard way, simple.
  20. oh i see.....so you cant record like with a video camera youve got to sit and watch it there and then..................i was hoping for something that would record so i can fast forward to the good bits
  21. Not that picture again ................aint it time you took another one Lol it's the only one I have have before I turned into a fat dwarf .......... No discipline you army boys ......................Im not far off where i was 10 years ago ......nowhere near as strong but what you lose in nature you gain in knowledge .. ......." IF THE BARS NOT BENDING YOUR JUST PRETENDING "
  22. Asking a bodybuilder why he lifts is like asking anybody why they seek improvement in anything.....we all want to improve dont we ?.....why try for promotion if you already earn enough money to live ?.....why get the latest phone if you already own one that works ?Life is about moving forward if we all just stood still and accepted our fate we,d all be the same......i can only speak for myself but after a decent career in sport i unwillingly fell into powerlifting and realised i had above average basic core strength......only when i got too old for real sport did i get into bodybuilding i dont
  23. Not that picture again ................aint it time you took another one
  24. Would take a lot more than that to write off a dbs they,ve got a f****n great big side impact bar behind the door my bet is they would gladly have it back and repair it for free.................drama queen !
