  1. Its also worth keeping in mind a lot of these countries dont have the strict building regulations we do meaning the man of the family often has a poorly paid winter even if he is a builder and has work throughout the off season its poorly paid work so the holiday trade is still the main income for many of these people.
  2. If a person has a natural talent for something whether its a skill,a character or a work ethic then they,ll get where they want to be on their own.......if not then why take that risk just stick with a regular wage packet......if you cant be honest with yourself you,ll never work a pound note into proper money and after all who wants a competition over who has the most dirt under their fingernails.....not me.
  3. Whats the old saying about charity beginning at home.........look after your family/friends/local community.........if everybody did that what would be the need for massive charity groups and royal organisations...........community spirit go,s a long way.
  4. To be honest mate i wasnt really interested i just hurled it down my neck and asked for more........washed down with a few nice pints of Doombar.......and i dont even drink !
  5. I dont think your average Scouser/Manc is too concerned about International football they are too wrapped up in their " big clubs " to worry about England......you find just as many Preston,Barnsley or Wigan fans following England abroad or at Wembley as anyone else.......for some fans following England just isnt important enough im afraid.... mostly the ones who get all patriotic when it comes to celebrating Eid or getting shot of Muslims funny enough !
  6. People dont " need " big muscles, gorillas do......nothing to do with protein genetics is what gave them the size/strength they have.......cant remember the last time i saw a gorilla with a pigeon chest and skinny little forearms and for the most part they sit around eating so not as if they work out to get the Popeye look is it
  7. Well i gave my mate a bit of a David Bellamy style lecture earlier i think i sounded really impressive.......until he hit me with a word i had no real answer to................." why " f**k it anyway ive done my bit if he wants to find out more he,ll have to do what i do...................make a c**t of himself Absolutely right Socks i had a great few days and it cost the price of a tank of petrol !........its a beautiful place alright that top pic was down in Rhayader where amongst other things i also came across the finest Lamb & Mint Pie ive ever had.
  8. The old Wembley was a bit of a dump if truth be told but it had an aura about it,as a spectator it was pretty crap, too far away from the pitch, those old bench seats in the lower tiers were horrible, poor facilities etc.......but the twin towers were iconic and although the new arch is certainly an architectural statement it doesnt have the same sporting romance........obviously the new Wembley is a far superior stadium but it doesnt do it for me,grounds with escalators put me in mind of shopping precincts rather than footie grounds.....i also miss watching the players climb the steps to lift th
  9. He,s not going to be living there......quite a shrewd little investment actually......and after all theres no point you Welsh boys making money is there you aint got nothing to spend it on Im not jealous at all you understand
  10. Right thats good enough evidence for me thankyou chief .................the things you learn from a stroll in the country eh !
  11. Wembley isnt local to me mate i cant stand the place......................its just that following the football club i follow im so used to going there
  12. Im only messing mate i dont follow Rugby but i know its well supported.....stick this postcode in your satnav and it will take you to Careys which is within 10 yards of the car parks im talking about ....HA9 0HR Hope your lads have a great time and your team get the win......as long as its not against a London side that is
  13. I know......he,s stupid.......but he,s not that stupid
  14. This is a tricky one now im not sure who to trust " Dont worry " i said to my mate " i,ll have this little mystery solved in no time i,ll ask the boys on this forum i go on " I cant pick the phone up and tell him its a f****n village where insects live !!.......i quite like the idea of going all David Bellamy on him but not if im talking complete bollocks he,ll have me rumbled straight away now come on whos telling the truth here ?
  15. Hang on i forgot about this one......this was even better..........worse/better depending what it is.
  16. Just outside Welshpool a few minutes from Powis Castle......ive fallen for a town we stopped in called Montgomery what a charming little manor full of equally charming people......welcomed a couple of horrible looking fuckers like us in like we was long lost friends.....cant quite get my nut around herds of cows walking along the street ....but really appealed to me in a strange kind of way !
  17. Yes its slate Snapper......no metal in it...........is this where a couple of dosey cockneys dont know if they are having the piss taken out of them or not .......It took me until the " beatin the English " bit to realise JDHUNTING,s post wasnt serious.......or was it im still none the wiser
  18. The mistake a lot of Northerners make when coming down to Wembley is once they get off the M1 onto the North Circular they get off at the first sign for Wembley they see which takes you round to the main car parks in front of the ground ( the 30 quid ones ) Stay on the North Circular till the next exit where the 4 windmills are and follow Great Central Way round under the bridge past the Tesco,s,chuck the right at the junction and follow Great Central Way all the way round till you can see the arch on top of the stadium........once there you,ll be spoilt for choice to park !.........if its
  19. A friend of mine has just bought a little place in Wales so went for a visit recently.... whilst taking a countryside walk we came across this strange looking creation......would one of you knowledgable folk be able to tell us what exactly it is ? .....All pleased with his new purchase my mate said " even the fly tippers are tidy round here "
  20. Its up to the individual i dont have a problem giving to them but i dont like this automatic putting a few bob in their hand and walking away if ive got the time and they,ve got the manners ive no problem with having a chat and seeing them alright i dare say they,re not all what they seem but having faith that the odd one is genuine is good enough for me........i wasnt born yesterday and any folk that take kindness for weakness wont get a second glance and that sits right with me i think we do these things for ourselves as much as the other person i cant see whats wrong with that.
  21. All round the industrial estates on Fourth and Fifth Way there will be small car parks charging a tenner or 15 quid......other than that get on the Asda car park and walk down Wembley Park Drive....or Wickes/Halfords on the retail park.................its not too bad mate all things considered.
  22. So you believe that the original bulldog that never needed to show gameness is responsible for the gameness needed in pit dogs......no i dont buy that...... Im off to catch a bit of sun now which is a shame as this will most likely develop into an interesting little debate......as much love and admiration as i have for the breed ive never been a big book reader so never paid too much attention to history so i might of picked up a thing or two ! .....all the best chaps.
  23. Thats interesting..... If im not wrong the Cajun rules were brought out in order to stop a dog needing to scratch into a dead dog to obtain victory.......so if the sole objective was the first dog to kill or inflict as much damage on the opponent as possible is the winner then where is the need for gameness ?......which as we know was a trait that existed in these dogs long before Cajun rules came into play.......yet a trait not really associated with Bulldogs. Just something to think about. Sorry Gnasher, completely wrong. As for those who say they can see terrier influenc
