I really dont want to sound like a prick but a lot of fighters and ex fighters would appreciate the technical performance of Ward that straight out boxing fans would not of even noticed like i already said Kovalev won his rounds bigger and in a more obvious way but the way Ward was circling and off setting Kovalevs attacks up close was beautiful to watch from a technical point of view.....a big puncher like Kovalev doesnt want to be off balance when loading up and Ward never gave him the luxury of a static target he was constantly changing the angles it was a brilliant defensive display i gues

Not sure ive ever had bread and dripping but just seeing the words " Fray Bentos " makes me want to heave.......ive never forgiven my ol mother for forcing those revolting f****n things down my neck even the sound of those nasty metal ring pull things or the smell once the lid was off has left me mentally scarred !

Kovalev was doing a lot of holding without actually working when you hook an opponent under the armpits like your doing a bicep curl you are stopping them creating distance Kovalev was doing that a lot whereas Wards clinching was to get punches off ( spoiling )......if Kovalev could of maintained distance with the jab he would have done but he was being out - positioned a lot of the time by a fighter who was simply reading him better.

Why do fights fans always go into meltdown and start calling for rule changes when the fighters they fancy to win dont win ......there was no big scandal it was a close fight that could have gone either way Kovalev had some good moments and so did Ward its only that Wards good moments were much more technical than the brute force of Kovalevs and so not as obvious but Ward is a 12 round machine he had the upper hand in the clinches and as soon as he started clipping him after the clinches and pot shotting with the jab it was obvious Kovalev was going to have to do more than just follow him aro

I dont normally like sitting on the fence with draws but if ever i had to give one that was it so when a fights as close as that i wouldnt argue strongly either way though saying that a challenger normally has to win decisively to get the nod in a title fight and it wasnt decisive.......i thought Kovalev beyond his general strength and power was disappointing you dont get points for just walking forward Wards adjustments worked for him and the body shots slowed Kovalev down in the second half but i do think the rounds Kovalev won he won bigger than the rounds Ward won but all in all i thought

We have had this conversation before, I honestly do not fear death, I do not embrace it or chase it but when my time comes I will "go quietly in to that deep dark night". I look at it like this mate, I see intelligent design in living things so to me saying we are closely related to chimps presents no problem......it's the same as saying a skoda is the same as a bently......it basically is but they are very different beasts. I have a fleeting interest in the whole creation/evo argument so often listen to debates of this nature and tend to lean one way then the other but having heard David Attenborough say that humans are as closely related to chimpanzees as lions are to tigers the other night im completely back to square one !......as for what happens after we die who knows and that's just how it should be,but people saying they dont fear death no i dont quite buy that i think we all have a fear of death and thats perfectly natural.

My daughter bought me a pair of them gtx ones Aran something or other they were diabolical i only wore them half a dozen times before the tongue was coming away the reinforced toe bit was hanging down a couple of the metal lace things had popped off.....all on the same boot ....obviously a straightforward defect but for that sort of dough it aint nice !

Couldnt agree more Bracken Boy i think in England we seem to feel under pressure to play out from the back just because thats what Brazil and Spain do........and Stones is about as close as we have to that....the fact he aint that good a defender dont seem to be that important ! How many times do we see our central defenders f**k about with the ball trying to play out....nearly f**k it up and end up playing it back to the keeper to hoof it long anyway !......i wish we would just do what we,re good at instead of trying to be something we,re not.
