Its just how we roll in Britain mate we are famous throughout the world for hating on our sports stars particularly footballers......never understood it myself.

I couldnt care less i want to watch him play football i dont want to be his friend.....do you ?Are you serious. Why the feck would I want to be friends with someone like that. Maybe I'm old fashioned in my views. But I can't see past a persons achievements for the real person they are. I don't talk to family members for doing similar stuff. Morals mean the world to me 100% concerning family and friends. People seem to turn a blind eye to low life's. Because they are sportsmen. What a sad world we live in Ey When a footballer scores a great goal i dont do a background check on his persona

" i love America " " i wish i lived in America " " im scared to visit America " " i dont like Trump " " Trumps good for America " On most of these topics you start you sound like a very confused young man who for some reason does his thinking out loud instead of in the privacy of his own mind !

Absolutely....it wasnt an option to me or my kids unfortunately as its only been the last 10 years or so that ive been around hunting/countryside my kids are in their 20,s now and just give me a quizzical look when i suggest a stroll out in the countryside .....opportunity missed i guess. You will just have to have another kid then lol Thats what grandkids are for......im working on him but he,s not 2 yet

What sort of hunting do you do gnasher.I remember you talking about the bulldogs. I have the occasional turn out with the running dogs and lend a hand with some terriers i dont own dogs myself anymore so have to rely on a few good hearted folk near me meaning im lucky to get out much more than once a week so im nowhere near as hardcore as some of you chaps but as with the bulldogs ive found once you are bitten by the bug its hard to ignore it and the countryside seems to of got a bit of a grip on me over the years............how about yourself what sort of hunting do you do ?

Thats fair comment......but the fact he has broken the international scoring record AND the scoring record at such a prestigious club as Utd qualifies him as an all time great in the English game in my opinion although i agree there has been better individual players.

Good stuff thanks for all the suggestions chaps ......its just a bit of relaxing/romantic time supposedly .....i cant imagine my ol woman getting on a bike unless its bolted down in a gym.....but sounds a nice place to breath some good air into the lungs and let the mind wander.....cheers.

Thats very civil of you chief thankyou.....however whenever i take my mrs away alone for a few days she always wants me to be with her.....shes funny like that
-
oh for f**k sake not all this shit again.....what is it with you north east lot have you all got some sort of size dysmorphia going on up there Yous are doing very well.....just leave it at that

The beauty of competitive sport is that it tells its own truth.....what the man has achieved in our national game speaks for itself as a sportsman......as a husband/father/friend who knows and who cares.......too many people in this celebrity obsessed society think if we dare admit someone is good that means we give them our approval in all aspects of life.....judge a sportsman on his sport alone and you wont go far wrong....making Rooney one of this countries all time greats.

B+ for effort C- for originality Can do better.

I booked the first gaff that came up with Hambleton in the title and turns out its the only hotel there looks a right poncey gaff Michelin stars and all that nonsense so i can well believe its one of these Lord of the manor type places.......oh well my rowdy delinquent presence will ruffle some feathers next week
-
Ok cool thankyou squire ......all i meant by back arse of nowhere is theres probably no signs telling you where to go....and i never quite got my nut round a compass !
-
Its right near Oakham apparently.......on the map it looks like this place is in the middle of an island !......its a part of the country i dont know at all so once off the A1 i,ll be lost..... ok Stamford i,ll keep an eye out cheers.
-
Anybody live near on know anything about this place ?.....the mrs used to visit family there as a kid and been on about going back there so booked a hotel for a few days she reckons i,ll love the scenery round there but i dont fancy wandering into the back arse of nowhere i just wondered if anyone knows the area and any popular walks/country pubs etc ?....its a little village called Hambleton.

I dont say so..... 99% of people who have ever been in or around a combat sport do. Anyway f**k all that the lawnmower/sheep scenario is a much fairer contest my moneys on the sheep nature over technology all day long.

At what ? Under what rules ? Here we go round the mulberry bush

Its called adaption and every generation does it i remember my ol man constantly saying " it aint like it used to be ".....you just have to stay true to yourself i didnt grow up around hunting/wildlife/countryside whatsoever but having found it later in life i,ll never be without it again in some form or another but i wouldnt push it onto my kids or grandkids as its a different time and they must be left to find their feet if somethings right for them they,ll find it like i did.

I dont really know anything about the bloke i know he,s out of Canning Town so he,ll be no stranger to fighting and confrontation they always make me laugh these type of programs where people play at fighting like its a hobby you cannot build 10 years of fighting fitness in 10 months......when you have had a lifetime of fitness/sparring etc you develop a certain body type that absorbs punishment in different ways to other people i dont know how old he is but a few repetitions of whacking sticks across his limbs is not going to prepare him for the mental and physical stress of living a fighters

And its taken you 8 pages of arguing for it to finally sink in Not sunk in, your still bleating on about boxing, yawn. You have now agreed with the very thing you have spent 8 pages arguing against its hardly my fault your bored ! Not agreed on anything, the question is still the same, who would win if the both used their own set of skills? ... Wheres the f****n chuckle brothers !! Who would win what mma or boxing ?.......to me to you to me.

A boxer cant grab his opponent the referee will call break is he does........an mma fighter can go to the ground get in a clinch and stay there for minutes on end before the referee will stand them up.......the only real way a boxer can sneak a breather is on the move an mma fighter can literally lay down and rest his bodyweight on an opponent. He will call break but a boxer who gets hit and feels it certainly grab ons mate to save getting ko'd. For a few seconds not minutes at a time like they can in mma......a solid punch will go right down to a fighters feet he will have no strength in his

yeah what would i know. Ive found a lot of people who dont know what to say next just have a pop instead of explaining themselves Not having a pop but to think that groundwork is a rest shows you don't know what your talking about I'm sure you are quite knowledgeable on boxing but you obviously aren't on mma Who said anything about groundwork ? not me.......you are completely missing the point the rules of mma indicate that you are allowed to tie up an opponent and stop them from working you are not allowed to do that within the rules of boxing.......how good somebody is at doing
