No thats absolutely right mate of course it takes years and years of lifting to reach such heavy poundages,building not only the muscular strength needed but more importantly the tendon and ligament strength to hold it all together.....put your average man off the street under such weight and his skeleton will literally fold up on him through the joints.

My own gym funny enough,infact it wasnt so much go there as live there at times......this was back when a 500 lb lift was still 4 plates as it was 55's back then....500 was always the benchmark between " you're an extremely strong chap " and " you need to be doing something with that ".

None of that changes the fact that its a simple fix...... how bad things have to get before the most basic and obvious critical thinking takes place who knows. Regards the penal system its a tiny tiny minority.....but like everywhere else in life that minority are almost untouchable,and they know it.

Its not that long ago that 500 lb was a very respectable gym lift....300 lb on top of that doesnt bare thinking about.

What i was saying mate is ultimately a fight is a fight.....i,ll pay to watch 2 average pros have a 6 round competitive fight at a small hall show same as i,ll pay to watch the " big fights "....its the story of a fight inside the ropes and how it unfolds that i dont mind paying for.....all the sillyness and politics of boxing i have no real interest in. Where i think a line is starting to be crossed is by putting on fights that are not based on competitiveness but solely on personalities and the " rivalries " they can drum up to disguise the fact that the fight is not competitive......yo

Ive had all this tic tok,insta,facebook stuff explained to me a hundred times i still dont get it.....not sure i want to either. Couldnt agree more....there was a time when fighters were thick as arseholes and would be seen but not heard but it meant they had to fight their way into contention....now its virtually the opposite if you are a good talker and your face fits you can literally talk yourself into big fights having had very few meaningful victories.

As if the fight wasnt hyped enough before it its even worse after !.....ok i get it this Shalom mush is a new kid on the block and wants eyes on his promotions but come on dont take people for idiots....." iconic "...." classic "...f**k off i had to turn that off after 2 minutes. Its a really nice place mate its like a clean version of London ?....they have a right wing prime minister Viktor Orban which was what drew me here just to suss the place out,and yes its a nice place,very refreshing for a capital city.....bottom pic is Shoes on the Danube which was grim reading but certainly an interesting place full of history and pride.

Im probably reading too much into things but i think once an athlete becomes a celebrity and starts doing all that jungle out of here type thing,going on telly for non sporting reasons......most are at least halfway retired....i just dont think Khan wants it as much as Brook. The competitive mentality and desire to succeed is certainly not the same on the way down as it was on the way up hence for me this is a bit of a meaningless fight.

Nice good for you....its good to make the effort occasionally getting away from modern life and just embrace the whole husband/wife thing we've just come back from a little Valentines break in Europe travelling in style started in Budapest,then a few nights in Milan then ended up in Paris.....weird really the more time i spend with the woman the more i like her ?
