  1. Staffs if you want a decent pup I'll get you 1 might not be big name dogs in them but bred for the job mate, still got to get a lakie dog back that I loaned out as my pal had 3 in the sick bay. I'll see what pics are suitable for showing and I have to work with in the law these days as my boss is a registered pest controller it's the night time wanders with the greys that seem to get me in trouble, but only with my lass when she has a pile of game to sort out

I think I seen that advertised but didn't watch it, there was me thinking the prime minister only fecks our country up
  3. It means nothing to me Dan but it sure is a looker not that I'm a big fan of the bullys
  4. True enough MrQuinn, in my mind there is nothing better than going on some new ground and meeting different lads. I'd put some pics up of the terriers I offered Deadlyshot a pup out of but I don't think I have any that would be suitable for public showing
  5. Cheers MrQuinn but I'd rather give a pup to somebody that will graft it then sell it to a show breeder, makes no difference to me if it's a terrier or running dog
  6. No bother Daniel mate, we normally place the pure pups around our friends then try them on the tracks before deciding which we are keeping for racing and which will be workers. I might be having a litter of pures myself out of my mates racing dog so there will be a pup for you if you want to rear it yourself
  7. End of the 2nd season for me Stav11 but if I know a dog won't work certain quarry then I don't go looking for them
  8. As others have said one of the collars should stop him
  9. I've spoke to Donny C a couple of times in p.m's he seems a excellent bloke and knows he is always welcome up here for some sport
  10. Deadlyshot come for some dog work with us mate, if you enjoy it and want a pup then I'll get it for you. I remember talking to you in a previous post about ratting so I've got a rough idea where you are based I just can't think of who would be near you to take you out down there for some digging but I should know somebody who will get you out, even just as a spare pair of eyes watching the holes. I'll have a ask about for you as I need to get in touch with some southerners with my new mobile number
  11. Jigsaw I've got to go to the shoot tomorrow morning to see my old pal the keeper to see if the spare mk 1 collar and box is there for my mate, if there is a spare collar there I'll put your name on it
  12. Too many people write the dogs off too early when it's really them that should quit My old bitch deer/grey x collie/grey powers/hancock bred not sure the grandparents names though She was a excellent dog in her time, never seemed to have many problems with her. 1 of the best bitches I've ever owned and will miss her when she is gone
  13. Danny my mate only phoned me as he has offered me his allotment due to family problems, so I'm in two minds whether to take it with my lass being pregnant and that. If I do get the garden though it will be with everything on, chickens, ducks and that but the bonus will be a few kennels and runs already up, might be a ideal place to start the pups off on the bloody rats though . The way I look at it is we all started some where and if the lad wants a pup out of workers then I'll get him 1 as my little man will be getting a beddy pup when he is born not show bred stock either in fact my
  14. A nice collie/grey or collie/whippet/grey would be ideal for you.
  15. I love the deer/grey x collie/greys as well for all rounders. Been known to run a few in my time and you are spot on about them being good on the hoof . Maybe your bitch was just used to the bull/grey back up to start with so jacked the first time by herself but by the sound of it she came round in the end
  16. My pal has phoned me as his bitch got lined today, if she takes and you want a pup out of working stock I'll get you 1, border/lake x russell/lake. The sire is out of my old dog and the dam is a locally bred bitch both give 100%, I'm getting a bedlington pup when my other mate breeds his or I would of took the pup for myself. The offer is there though pal
  17. Good luck Airborne, too far down for me to offer you a trip out
  18. Shame Daniel mate, if you want a pure grey for working just give me a shout pal as my mates normally have some spare saplings and pups about.
  19. I've took some decent young lads out to start them off. A couple of lads I have gave dogs to [already working], if you can get in with some decent terrier lads it certainly helps. I got in to terriers through my uncle then through the keepers
  20. Phil I left my 2 year old bitch for 6 weeks after she done her wrist, first time back out running she came back limping. She might not run properly all this season but I'm prepared to wait it out. I just let her go in the yard at the minute and she lies about the house the rest of the time
  21. Nice pictures mate, The dog is looking good
  22. I might have a pup for you next year mate out of the irish bred bitch, still not sure which way I'm breeding her though
  23. I've seen some pictures of some cracking fish from the fens, I've got a coarse pond local to me [ 2 roads to cross] http://www.ashington-ne.co.uk/qeii.html And the lads have been killing some big pike out of it, just leaving them to rot in the rushes
