  1. I want to become the biggest internet hunter on thl , other than that to get a nice pup or 2 out of my old bitch
  2. I'm still up, thinking of a early morning trip out with the terriers since my lass is at hers or her mates, wasn't listening to her before as you can tell
  3. It doesn't bother me but next year will be different with a kid about the place, just not sure if I'll be with the hunt or out on the shoot on boxing day , might do a half shift on both though

  9. Robert I could look at your old pics all day mate , you are right about some people need to get out more. I've been out on the shoot again today with the old bitch, beating and picking up. But on a positive note I think my young gun will be running again in the next week, fingers crossed, then the fun will begin again
  10. I'm breeding my old irish grey bitch next year as she is due her pension now in front of the fire I'll still be giving her the odd trip out but not as much and not running as hard
  11. No pal, leave them in, I've got 6 hanging outside now from today as had the old grey bitch beating and picking up so no lamping for her tonight
  12. happens all over falcon, but if dogs took the fox, then trust me it wouldn't of suffered long [almost instant with decent dogs], the damage would of been done by 2 dogs pulling opposite ways which is why I hate running doubled up

  17. Nod I can go straight to my mates farm down there and my dogs won't be seen but cheers for the advice, ain't ran the dogs down that way for years though. I.L I like the good old lure fishing but sometimes will dead bait, which reminds me I need to raid my mates tackle shop for some new gear

Quicky Pheasant Pate 8oz pheasant meat 2 cloves of garlic or equivalent lazy garlic 2 oz streaky bacon 8 oz minced belly pork sea salt and black pepper a glug of red wine (optional) Cook the pheasant for 30 - 45 minutes, stirring gently Take all the meat off the bone, add it to the belly pork and garlic and then season. add a little of the pheasant cooking juices if necessary, or a glug of red wine. Line a loaf tin with the bacon and put in the pheasant mixture. Cook for 1 - 1 1/4 hours in a 375 degrees fahrenhite/ 190 degrees celsius/ gas mark 5 oven Pheasant M
