  1. I like the fact that my bolt is locked when the safety is on. a few times i have had it were im walking with unloaded rifle over shoulder (i don't walk with bullet up the spout) and the bolt has popped open on me, if safety is on then bolt is locked and no chance bolt with pop open. probably would do no damage but just my way i guess. Phil.
  2. nothing at night here, normally one or two foxes on one patch but at the moment im seeing more in the middle of the afternoon, i cant take them as there's to many people sledging, thou farmer did say something about 50p a pop to me.hehe Phil.
  3. Nice one Jezz. my first was a big dog with the shottie as well. 56g #1 dose the job nicely. one barrel and all over. have a look on u-tube for making fox calls, there's a couple of easy ones on there. i like the foxcall.uk caller and the wam as a mouth call and then the electronic call to get the interest to start with. bung me your email and ill send you a collection of fox calls for your mp3. regards Phil.
  4. my pup came un chipped but was D & D. i spoke to a vet about it and was told that he wil not do chipping until at least 10weeks old as the chip tends to migrate around the body and end up anywhere. i put this to a few other vets and they all said the same thing.
  5. boston warmer. best one i have ever had and i have had a few as i like the fishing as well. only down side is you have to spend the same money again on a 2nd one as your wife will steal it off you............like mine bl00dy does. I only half fill it for a evenings shooting and then keep the fuel tin in the car just in case. good 1/2 hour to warm first before you put it in the case to warm hands Phil
  6. I use the crate type on the back of the truck with no problems. if the backs open then just zip tie some perspex or estate agent board to the top and side leaving ht door clear. go to machine mart and get some of there cheap floor mat and put under the crate and up the tail gate so when you open it the map drops down with it. Phil.
  7. i sent you a pm matey. always up for a windy night out or a days ferreting. i have 3 nets but new'ish to it, only bought them to sort out a problem as a local school. dont have ferrets and the land i shoot is pants for rabbits but use to have when i was alot younger, miss the mornings out to tell the truth lol ATB Phil
  8. popped out for an hour tonight. had a quick walk around with the trip2. one was barking and barking, we just couldn't get him to come out the woods but two others came for a look. 150 yards and stopped never to run again. going to have a look on another land tomorrow night so if it is anything like the walk around we did last week then it will be fun. we had 4 last Sunday. Phil.
  9. pick the bird up and hole the two wings together in your left hand so the head is facing to your right. use your beating stick or priest and give it a good tap on the back of the head. you know when you get it right as the bird sort of goes rigid and quivers in your hand. DONT let go of the wings to early Phil.
  10. Just been having a look around your wife's other art work, she is a very talented lady. the fox head, wow, she has caught the fox absolutely bang on. just wish i had more wall space for the hairs but i have to many painting in storage as it is. had she done many dogs. All the best Phil

I bought mine from a working back ground after seeing his mothers side of the family i then ordered the KC 5 gen once i bought him home. turned out well over half of his line are written in red with FT CH in front of the names 14 months on and im sure he's been on this earth before as he it like my son........a know it all.lmao. danderw druid is my boys grand father on his mothers side danderw druid and Lady chatterly to lilly may both bold ones are pure working, and both still working under the same lady. bring him on sl
  12. I dont mean this to sound rude or anything but if you cant afford to buy a dog then you cant afford to look after it, IE: feed, vets, pills. Pay for a dog with good money then its for life as you dont chuck money down the drain. dont get one as a fashion statement please. Phil.
  13. liam brinded sells them. i bought a load a little while back. tight as buggery to get on. there not the type that are environmentally friendly.hehe On the bottom of the rods i put a short piece of tubing and then put the rubber ring and net onto that. it slids up easier as you push into ground but stays put when rabbit hits it. Phil
  14. toolstation. i have bought a few now for differant things and all bargain price that last.
  15. put the lead on him help to stop them running a way.hehe. Put lead on and lie him down, put foot on lead stop him getting up. then cut them. do it every day, but with out cutting, and loads of fuss after with help he know that nothing bad is going to happen and he will carm down in time.

  17. not the same lamp but i had the IR filter for the max tracer. did it make a differance to the distance i could see? my gosh didnt it just. i had a monocle type NV with the illuminator on the side. this was good to 40/50 yards or so. with the deben lamp and IR filter it was like the light had been turned on with out the filter. only got rid of the set up as i didnt like swing the rifle around just to see what was around. i just bought a lightforce 240 and red filter instead. if you do get one then watch the sun burn as with the IR filter on you can feel the heat. small red glow by the wa
  18. i have been playing with a few differant types and have found the tri-pod suits my style of shooting. i can set them low for seated bunny popping or high for the night time charlie when walking around. £39 from one of the mags. LR Active i think it was. had to make a few adjustments but for under £40 its sort of expected Phil.
  19. i have a few spare centres as well that i will chuck in for free
  20. Some tread on the tires but its the rims really for sale. rims are good for any Jap import with 6 stud, so I'm told some water damage on the lacquer coat but will clean up. will leave the hub covers on them and i have a few more around some where as well £50. to be collected ATB Phil.
  21. Magpie - Hooded Crow - Crow - Magpie Chatter £22 posted Stressed Out - Hare2 - Cotton Tail - Fox Cub £22 Posted Used both with great success but have now sold the caller, I have even used the Magpie call on a foxes that wouldn't come to the rabbit squealer. ATB Phil.
  22. sold. gone. new motor on its way. thank all Phil.
  23. its to much hassle to modify just to see if differant seats will help me. Im almost 7 foot and fit in nicely with head room but because i have a back problem i have found i cant sit in the seats for any amount of time. a friend on 6'6" says its fine for him so i guess its just me. Gutted as for its age the bodywork it straighter than any thing else i have seen plus theres no rust as far as i can see. even the underside is clean with no major rust or leaks. If its still here on Friday i may end up going hocking her in for a forecourt landy that i have my eye on. J reg 1992 2.5TD
  24. Truck is on hold for now as im waiting for mechanic friend to advise me on changing the seats for ones with more height as there's bags of room above my head. as soon as he gets back to me Saturday night i will either let it go or get him to re work it for me. sorry if its messing anyone around but i would like to be sure as its a great looking truck and i will be gutted for it to go only to find there was a way around it. Plus im laid up at the momnet so i cant get all the info and photos that people are asking for. ATB Phil
