Haven’t heard this in years

Went for a walk this evening as most of the crops have now been cut and also all the vegetation along the hedgerows has had a good cut which helps shooting and seeing the rabbits clearly, was out for an hour and half before dusk and shot six only five in the picture as number six dived into the veg and could I find it no, it even done a somersault as I nutted it but nowhere to be seen, I also missed three so six for nine shots, I also see two foxes sneaking about.

Katch was a good bloke he was always offering days out and help to other people on here, and his input was good with the trapping ect the place is poorer without him.

Yes I must have bought it as they were transitioning over to the new way of the business changing, I remember meeting Richard Hunt in the old barn they were bottling up at the time and they just put the hose straight into my barrel and away I went, It’s still like that in Mudgley at Roger Wilkins place in Somerset, I do prefer the old rustic ways it seems to suit cider.

Hunts used to have a stone barn near Churston Ferrers I popped in there years ago and they filled me a 5 gallon barrel I always carry onboard, £20 I was well chuffed, when I visited again it had been turned into a posh house,very good cider as you probably know.

A good male role model is a good influence in a young man’s life my father was a complete waste of my time and buggered off when I was about 5, my Grandad took up the baton and taught me a lot of good positive stuff good work ethic politeness how to treat people, we hunted and caught birds back in the day to sell in London, he even taught me how to drink lol, keep up the good work Wolfie the chap your talking to sounds a miserable waste of time.

Thanks Charts that was all about the same time, all the comedians of that era had there own catch phrases funny how you remember things and also forget things, the 70s seemed like no time at all ago to me but we are talking 40/50 years ago how life has changed.

If my memory serves me right one of his many catch phrases was oooh you are awful but I like you…. Weird but he had many.

Your only as good as your last meal if you put rubbish inside you, you will feel rubbish eat well and you feel great not a lot of people believe me when I say I’ve never had a McDonald’s when you walk past it the smell is awful

3 hours 15 minutes but different heights on the spit, started at the top and finished off at bottom and I let it rest for about 30 minutes it was lovely but 32 in the garden looking after it was sweltering off to the pub in a minute to cool down

There’s a really good documentary presented by the Unthanks sisters about all the old British pagan things that we still celebrate it’s called a very English Winter well worth a look, but their music is very good.

This tune always gets me by the Unthanks sisters it appeared on an episode of the Detectorists, it does feel connected to the past.

Yeh I had a good walk around the beach crabbing central, then made my way to Bodham to check out a property that’s been niggling me drive by viewing lol, and then a bit of grub at Potters Heigham and then a good trip through the Suffolk back roads back to Essex as the A12 was closed due to an oil spill, a good road trip and I’m drinking the spoils as I write this message

I had a drive up to Whin Hill Cider brewery in Wells Next the Sea in Norfolk today and bought a couple of 10 and 5 litre bags in a box plus some bottles it’s good stuff about 6.8% looking forward to the weekend, 300 mile round trip that’s commitment for you lol

I got proper ruined on that on a weekend away in a pub in Beer in Devon they had it on draught lovely hoppy beer but I had to crawl up the stairs to my room…
