  1. He was a very good poster eccentric but smart, just before he left he contacted me as I had an interest in his turtle but I never kept in touch as busy with work at the time, I hope he’s keeping well would be good if he returned but I don’t think he will.
  2. He didn’t fare very well I heard, he had a troubled upbringing and used to mix with all the local prostitutes in town and some one see him after he’d gone and said he had gone down hill a bit, the railway was his life he was a bit of a loner long hair bit of a character I liked him, I haven’t seen him around for ages.
  3. Should have got yourself along to Walton on the Naze Keith and tried the Pie & Mash in Whites Pie & Mash, Frintons a nice gaff Jaywick nah lol.
  4. There was a lad on the railway I used to know a few years back who was a patrolman (Track Inspection) he used to grow it on a junction in Essex it was difficult to access because of trains ect, but he got rumbled they took a drug test he failed and was sacked one of the few things they sack you for and no coming back from on the railway, he was extremely good at his job top management used to send him letters commending him on his patch but growing Ganja was a no no.
  5. I bet Ken’s Deputy who used to come on here had a few he had all sorts of traps, I looked them up after you posted before and they are rocking horse shit good luck with the search.

  8. Scotty I neither believe or disbelieve I think it’s an interesting subject I’d love to see evidence with my own eyes I get out enough and I haven’t seen anything myself, but I see the above video yesterday morning and I had to post it as I new it would reignite the debate bit of mischief on my behalf lol
  9. Made me laugh reading that I was invited to a cowboy and Indians fancy dress party and I rocked up as a Sikh flowing robes and the biggest gold turban you’ve ever seen lol
  10. Had another 5 this evening I’ve had 38 this week not a bad tally but I missed as many as I hit tonight I had my Mr Magoo head on blind as a bat still there’s always another day.
  11. It hasn’t been ignored mate there’s a thread running in the general talk section where it belongs, by running a thread in here is wrong.
  12. Moment 'Big Cat' prowls around skip in the dead of night sparking fears mystery beast is on the loose | Daily Mail Online WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK Footage has captured a big cat lurking around a skip in the dead of night, sparking fears that a large mystery beast may be on the loose in Buckinghamshire.
  13. I thought to myself it’s Walt he’s probably f***ing about he can’t be serious but no I will politely respond, donut lol
  14. I have a .17 rimfire very flat trajectory 2650 feet per second but it’s a small round I can’t see it taking down an alpaca, and as for airguns .177 and .22 I have both and I never use them so can’t really comment.
  15. I don’t know if the picture Mack posted was from the scene but I would say definitely.223 and above a Rimfire isn’t going to do that damage, almost certainly a Centrefire and as DC says above if they retrieve the round they can narrow it down a bit but if it’s expanding ammo much harder to verify.

  17. I had a bit of a lean winter I didn’t see many at all but this last week or so there’s shit loads I’m going to try and get out as much as I can this week I’ve got about four good spots on the farm where your guaranteed to get a few. Good to hear they’re making a comeback up your neck of the woods.
  18. The worrying thing about it is someone is running around with a high calibre rifle who isn’t fit to own it if legal and if illegal what are they going to shoot next, just another nail in the coffin for legal gun owners watch them clamp down yet again on licensing.
  19. Out again this evening for a few hours I accounted for another 8 well 9 I know I hit it but went to pick it up and gone very strange lol, guns shooting really well at the moment and I’m getting some real long shots that are quite satisfying when you hit them.
  20. I haven’t posted on this thread for ages as most people have deserted the shooting section but I thought I would post a hunting post seeing as it’s a hunting site lol, out today and shot 10 the pic doesn’t tell the whole story as different parts of the farm they were shot, a lot of young ones about but they all eat winter wheat so all fair game, my last 3 outings I’ve had 25 and there’s loads more about to have a go at I will be going out again this week to see if I can get a good run going, after a bit of a dry spell I have had a few issues with my scope but I have changed it to a Hawke and i
  21. Just don’t show her your arse on the first date Keith…..
  22. Simple start to the day…
  23. Been out and about with my rifle loads of birds of prey about and walking back to my vehicle I see a barn owl going up and down a field hunting it kept swooping down and hitting the ground hard it sat there a while looking at me, it was nice to watch, I have also had a nice run of rabbits to have a go at I shot 12 but I don’t pick them up until I pack up as it disturbs the site for any more making an appearance, a large fox rocked up and was just staring at me could have easily have shot it but I don’t shoot anything apart from rabbits these days it helped itself to one of the laying rabbits I
  24. It used to be common years ago they used to press the apples through straw and as you say chuck a rat in and when it was completely dissolved fermentation was complete, there was a cider farm Moretonhampstead side of Dartmoor that used to press through straw very few places in the UK still use this method.
