I recently put a Hawke scope on my rifle I tried it for a few weeks but to be honest I didn’t like it so off it came this morning and I put my old German scope I’ve had for years back on, I took it to the farm to zero and after a bit of adjustment two bulls at 50 yards and two at 100 yards. Then I popped out this evening for a couple of hours to see if it could hit the rabbits as good as I hit the target, I knocked four over one particularly long shot and to be honest with a bit more effort and stealth on my part I could have had at least another three but I was pleased confiden

I’m 60 coming up to 61 my hair is so thick that when my hairdresser does her thing Zero flat top my hair sticks in her arm like pine needles, I’ve had the same haircut for the last 30 years, when I rode motorcycles for a living I had a skinhead because of the crash hat but if I leave it longer than three weeks I look like this fella.

My first week on the railway I was introduced to the p-way gang I would be working with one bloke had a shaggy Roger Daltrey perm he was flicking it about and shaking his head all day I really thought it was his real hair next day he come in he looked like Kojac lol, it was a bit of a thing with him dressing up as Sheik one day big goofy teeth and a small syrop the next bloke was a nutter lol

Four last night and another six this evening but just one pic of three in one spot some nicely placed shots, the eye shot was probably about 90/100 yards I was surprised I got it to be honest there was a lot of sun glare.

Perfect gun for those vermin just shoot the fox a bit closer than the smaller stuff I’ve had some silly distances for squirrels in the past capable little guns.

Hi Wilf, I’ve owned mine from new 17 years old it fires like it’s new it’s a Cz 452 16” Varmint barrel ( Heavy Barrel ) it has accounted for thousands of rabbits and it will take down a fox but I only use it for rabbits these days,it shoots very flat up to about 120/150 yards zeroed at 100 yards and ammo is about £15 a box of 50, more expensive than a 22 and noisier than a 22 as it travels at about 2500 feet per second, also you don’t need to clean the barrel much I find if you do they go off a bit until about 5/10 rounds have been shot through it, if I was getting another one I would definite

Went out just before dusk last night and bagged another six was plenty about but mainly young ones so no pictures as the little .17 turns them inside out. As said in the past its a funny old bit of permission surrounded by horse paddocks and the like so i have to select my shots carefully, definitely more suited to an air rifle but i just am not keen on them.

I had a similar situation like you have there I dropped a pallet down and sprinkled seed and bread underneath they couldn’t resist I was shooting them between the gaps, good luck

This in my opinion is the only way but it’s a big debate about poaching eggs throwing them into water is an injustice to chickens but here goes. First off you need a traditional poacher with the little plastic inserts you fill the poacher with just enough water to produce steam not too much as it can boil over into the eggs which is disaster, then you grease the plastic holders with butter you drop your eggs in turn on gas don’t pre heat water nothing like that go from cold, then you put your toast in toaster usually by the time the toast is cooked buttered and of course had marmite put o
