That is a good photo. Many thanks for the advice, taken on board. I did have some money saved, but a dishwasher, hover and Iron going in one 5 day period sort of took care of that. TC

Some good advice in the replies, but if it is happy out doors then keep it there. Bringing it in for a while may seem like a good idea, but could cause a rod for your back when the time comes for it to go out. TC

Very nice work, the problem I have as a mod is that those stocks could be seen as porn to those of the air gun persuasion. I can imagine a few of them knocking one out over them. I will leave it stand for the moment till I get advice on how to proceed off our air gun expert Walshie. TC

I find spring high pressure to be a waste of time for planting out anything. It gets too cold in the nights so what you gain by the day time temperatures you lose by the night temps. Far better to wait for low pressure and less fluctuations between night and day temps. TC

When it come to planting the taller the plant the further north it goes. Except for tall peas and runner beans. They should be planted in a N S direction and on the western side of the ground as far as is possible for obvious reasons. TC

I have been looking in to this no dig type of gardening, I think it could work for me. The "gardens" each side of me do well as wildlife sanctuaries. The last five years I have not really bothered as the chap down wind of me does not cut his garden until all the dandelions and docks have seeded. It was really disheartening to clear the beds of weeds and a week after the first rain have to go through them all again because he cannot be arsed to keep his garden cut. I think with the no dig method I could stay on top of the weeds on the beds even though they are being bombarded with wind blow

I honestly hope she gets back to full fitness and working as she used to for you. I have always had a soft spot for her, her confirmation is the spitting image of a collie x I had about 20+ years ago. If I am honest I would have gone the other way and had the dog PTS. So it says a lot for you that you gave the dog the chance. TC

You can do, just remember it will raise the PH of the soil so don't put it where you intend to grow spuds. Good for brassicas though. TC

You post some of the best bird photos I have ever seen. The G S Woodpeckers were fantastic, as were the Osprey photos. The problem lies with the little green eyed monsters, don't let them bother you just get the photos up. In a way I would take it as a compliment that you have people jealous of your photos. Even though myself and many others on here can only look at the photos and wish, we can appreciate the knowledge and time taken to get such photos. TC

It's ok by me for the record, people like him are sadly a part of any forum you go on and they all act exactly the same. No doubt he will come out with "it was a joke" now! Joke or not it is unacceptable. He did not know you from Eve, or should that be Adam? I admire your fortitude but abuse like that is over and beyond a joke. He really needs to seek help with his megalomania. TC
