As has been stated pm's can be read. But not by the mods. The software that this forum uses makes it impossible even if they wanted too. I have been a mod on other sites using this software and it is just impossible to do. OK most of the conspritists will not belive this, that is up to them. Just because they do not trust what they do not understand, it does not make it true in any other place other than thier own minds. But, as a cavat please remember, all that is written on a compter / phone can be read even if it is deleted. TC -

While I agree with what MTR and others have said. I don't think the OP helped herself with the title of the thread. Had she stated 'looking for a hunting partner' instead of "friend" I think the response would have been different. Each sport has it's own lanuage not knowing that lanuage singles you out as someone who does not know a lot about the sport. TC

True!.... But I was not thinking about you, it is your dogs wellbeing I was thinking about. You have been offered some good advice, none for your benefit all for the dogs. You have had to notice the dog losing condition yet despite giving her extra food and her not putting on weight you still refuse to take her to a vet. Why? To be honest the only reason I could come up with is that you are ashamed of letting the dog get into that condition in the first place? TC Edited to add good on you, just read that you have the appointment at the vets.

I just got off the phone to my banks fraud department. Over the last few days someone has been transfering money off my card to Western Union. Apparently they could have got the details of my card from anywhere I have used the card, if their security has been compromised. Luckily I spotted it today and I have had all the monies paid back into my account, as they seen it as a clear case of fraud. They have been trying to use the card since the second of April but most were declined as there were insufficient funds LOL sometimes it pays to be in the red. TC

I may have got the name wrong, but I belive Steamingutpiles has or will have 6z sheets for sale. By the way it is not 6oz it is 6Z they make the twine for nylon nets with either a right hand twist or left hand twist or a Z twist and the higher the number the bigger the diameter of the twine. TC

I have not read all this thread, but one thing I cannot fathom out is why the need for privatisation? Look at it this way. Each and every company that was privatised under Thatcher has made money. Yes the costs have gone up, yes the wages have stagnated. However each company is making billions a year, we could have the companies still in state hands, paying the same wages charging the same rates. yet the profits would go to the state brining very much needed income for the goverment. In theory that could lead to tax cuts where fuel could have less of a levy. That in turn would reduce inflation

Just looking at those. They would not be that difficult to make, the top of the bipod could even be made from buffalo horn married to the sticks of your choice. You might have a problem sourcing the magnets but the rest is really quite simple for a proficient stick maker. TC

What is the matter with people? First JDogs rescue, now this dog, I honestly can not fathom it out. Why would any person do that to any animal? Personally I have never seen the need for more than around the 15 meshes wide. Even with a 4" mesh 15 x 4" =60 inches stretched width in the middle of the net. I know it seems a lot of width, but as with any net if you stretch width wise you reduce height wise. I used to ferret sand warrens a lot and some of those mouths of warrens would make a fox hole look small. Yet the 15 meshes wide net nearly always worked. If the hole could not be covered by a purse net of that size, I would then use the poke nets. Just my opinion for what it's worth. TC

As always I do thing differently. I start on a triangle with 9 meshes. 2nd row increase on the 3rd and 6th mesh =11 meshes 3rd row increase on the increase meshes from the prievious row = 13 meshes 4th row the same as the third row increase on the increase meshes on the previous row = 15 meshes. Then 15 meshes all the way to the 19th row. Row 20 decrease by knitting the 5th + 6th and the 10th + 11th meshes together. Row 21 Knit the 4th + 5th and 8th + 9th meshes. Row 22 Knit the 3rd + 4th and the 7th+8th meshes =9 meshes. You then have a net that sits tidy on the ring yet still has a good be

When you add in the £3 postage they are a bit expensive then. I like Enorma grow them every year. if you pick them at around 8 to 10" long they are stringless aswell. I bought 24 Enorma seeds this week for 57 pence at my local garden center. Last year I tried Firestorm they are a cross between a runner and a French bean and are self pollinating a good cropper and nice flavour. I will be growing them again this year. TC
