  1. Lovely looker mate, what are the ankle straps he's wearing?
  2. I think that Salukis can sometimes have an air of aloofness about them but I don't know about arrogance,
  3. It's a squirrel with it's tail up over it's back,
  4. scotty, try going for the ferreting approach, farmers tend to be more accommodating about letting you ferret. Then as you build a bit of trust you can try to introduce the dog, or just take the dog with you ferreting anyway, as the dog is part of the ferreting team,
  5. How do you spell Yawn???
  6. I believe its the same as a "flitch" plate, you should be able to adjust the draw depending on the fire required (wide open when lighting to get it roaring on full draw and close it off more to tick over) and weather conditions. Also....if you're burning wood, don't burn painted or varnished wood as it coats the flu with creasote which can cause chimney fires,
  7. I used to do that untill I realised why my hand kept tingling and going numb,
  8. Then use longer marker pins, maybe with bright baleing twine on the end,
  9. it depends on the type of battery you use moll, some batteries (like motorcycle batteries) aren't designed to go flat so they should be kept fully charged, others (Battery power tools etc) develop a "memory", if they are partially discharged regularly they start to react as if they were flat before they really are (if that makes any sence?) therefore these types of battery should be fully discharged before each recharge,
  10. I put this on another thread here too, Just found Drontal plus at £28.89 for 20 tabs on www.wormers.co.uk http://www.wormers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_C...Wormers_16.html does anyone know anywhere cheaper? let us know
  11. Lone wolf...... Just a thought, are you fixing the t&g with just the brad gun or are you using glue/screwa too? if just the brads, do you think they'll hold when the dogs jump up the inside?
  12. I didn't say it was cheap mate I said it was crap, thats if we're talking about the same stuff,
  13. So you reckon it would be too hot under a clear roof even if the sides are open? I haven't had any problems with my ferret court which is like that, although it is under the shade of some large bushes, I guess if the sides were open enough to allow plenty of light you could ply board and felt the roof, that would be far better than that corrugated bitumen board rubbish.
  14. I think its a mixture of all 3 of those reasons countryman, in various orders depending on where we are at the time, as someone on here once said, "I never go out just to Kill something but I make no apologies for enjoying what I do"
  15. the roof is the one area that im not sure about, dont really want to put a tin roof on cos of noise when raining,so i am going for either the green corrugated bitumen type or the corrugated plastic i think unless someone has another idea.i was trying to let as much light in to help keep it dry through sunshine.ive got a jack russell, bedlington terrier and a beddy x whippet to go in it cheers I think I'd be tempted to go with twin wall or tripple wall pollycarbinate for the light aspect, otherwise when its enclosed it might be like keeping them in the shed, as for the heat...... I don't
  16. course it was a joke, i kick up a right stink if i see people parking in disabled spots,
  17. I Parked in a disabled parking space today, as i got out of the car a traffic warden shouted at me. Warden: Oi, whats your disability? me: Tourrettes you fcuking cnut, now fcuk off!
  18. Looking Good mate, what roof are you putting on it mate? and what dogs will it be housing?
  19. Personally I feed twice a day, first thing in the morning then about 9-10 at night, that way if I'm going ferreting I can skip the morning feed and if out for a shine I can skip the evening feed (till I get back anyway)
  20. I use Rolson ones, they're soft on ya knees but have a hard plastic cap, elastecated velcro straps too, never had any "slippage" problems, (I sell them too as it happens, )
  21. snelly mate, he probably was expecting a smack, so called "happy slapping" isn't robbery it is what it says on the tin, these pricks think it's funny to randomly slap strangers and film it, it's just that this one picked the wrong person to do it to,
  22. That is a realistic bait young Ben, The fishery owner told me about it...............the following night I had a 9lb and a 10.5lb mirror on sweet n sour chicken, just freelined using a stick float lying flat as an indicator.
  23. I've already told you Moll, you cant have any...................................not unless you ask me very nicely first,
