  1. --> QUOTE(john b @ Aug 23 2006, 10:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Woodga's advice was pretty much in line ..... It should have been, thats how I knew,
  2. 14/16 for me, a bit on the safe side cos I was looking for it, if you know what I mean. Ask me friday night after half a dozen Magners, a dozen Jack daniels and a few vodka red bulls and I'd probably give em all a go, :drunk:
  3. John, I'd say the snare in the first pic is a bit low mate, lift it up to overlap the rail so that you can keep your loop size,
  4. Yup, i thought she was a bit older than that, at least she'll be able to accompany you on ferreting trips to learn the ropes,
  5. Hi Nellie, Fantastic start mate, Does this 1 look familiar to you? AND she had her first rabbit the other day, just hope she turns out half as good as her mom,
  6. You can make the pouches from seat belt webbing mate, then either use the same webbing to make a belt or attach them to an old army belt etc. "get the batteries for next to nothing"......................... you being a spark, are you following the alarm fitters around the site?
  7. Smashing attitude lads....... lets all have another argument amongst ourselves
  8. Vermin Dropper

    name

you can't have that name........ Mayhem "May" is pictured below, I think he looks like a Dave, maybe... Jack (the lad), Arnie, Deefa (D Fa Dog) or Rar (Rats And Rabbits) well I like em,
  9. Nice 1 whippet, I made a rabbit stew for 5 of us at the station last night (fire station) It went down a treat, didn't get to eat till late as we were dealing with a lightening strike from 6pm till 12, a couple of converts though and some of the guys want to place orders, well done mate, enjoy, :good:
  10. Did you give em a bit of a rub down first? or you could try tying some ex army camo netting onto em
  11. As you are using fish as bait, how about a drizzle of cod liver oil along the run up or surrounding area,
  12. Where can I get aniseed to soak my gits in? I've been looking for ages but can't seem to find it anywhere.....cheers,
  13. you should call him O.J.................. that glove will never fit,
  14. I think P&G posted before.... mink snares- loop 2"-3"
  15. Not letting on your secret place then ay Pirate?
  16. Where abouts is that water mate? I've just got permission to some water with pike to 29lb and carp to 32lb fingers crossed ay,
  17. Try this: See if you can get access to a big, commercial / catering style Mincer. One with a big heart. Fit the 'course as hell' plate in it. Run stuff like lambs ribs through that. along with what ever meat you want. Then mix that, along with your veg, bit of bread / meal, what ever, in a wet broth. Greyhounds are renouned bolters of their food. God knows why. They just are. But dogs can't suck and that makes it a right bitch for them to bolt such 'wet' food. So, that way, you'll be giving them all the goodness you care to, without them risking Bloat or choking themselves to death
  18. 1, Don't know 2, ?????????? 3, use a toy that he is very fond of, tie a line to it incase he doesn't bring it back, get him excited about playing with the toy and throw it in, just a few feet at first so he can get it by wading, extend the distances untill he's swimming like a good un,
  19. Yes I agree Lamb ribs are good Mydogs love them ,unfortuanately lost my supplier . Try "Landywoods" or "TPMS" mate, both have web sites
  20. Thankyou! I can understand that perfectly. If I haven't got one tomorrow, I'll adjust All the wires to that manner. I can't wait! I just Know I'm getting That close! or try raising the loop a bit, Minky might be knocking em flat then getting his back leg caught in the loop pulling it closed and struggling free, hence finding the snare pulled closed. I'd love to take the credit for the knowlege but I learnt it from watching Woodga's snaring dvd,
  21. All the best to you and yours, Make the most of every second mate, my son is 8 months now and it passes in the blink of an eye,
  22. Here Here! Can we try to think about we're typing please boys, instead of giving it the big un on the public pages, use the pm option if you want to give idiotic advise.
  23. And being the mother to my fine bitch I think you made the right choice, I'm sure Moomin and "Ruby" would agree.
