  1. Cheers, It was only around the 12lb mark, I wish I'd taken a pic of the other side of it, it had some fresh looking marks from where something bigger has had a go at it,
  2. Cheers, She's 10 months mate, so I'm not running the arse off her, just a bit of road work and a couple of runs each time we go out,
  3. Racing would be a diferent legue to us all together, we just used to go out and get dirty, we'd see just how stuck we could get and then if we could get out
  4. Indeed..... we'd just winched out of that mud bath, put the winch rope back on then fell into the next hole..... I wouldn't mind but we'd walked that route feeling with poles for depth, completely missed the second hole
  5. I came across a few pics of the Discovery I owned about a year ago and a bit of off roading/ Green laneing I did in it, just thought you might like em, This was the easy bit. Now thats more like it. Just got out of that and fell into this one, oops, Cracking day out,
  6. Fu**ing Pikeys mate, nick em for the season then f**k em off
  7. I was out today on a local mere and managed this fella, along with a few smaller ones,
  8. true enough, I don't go in for numbers myself (good job as me pups only 9 months) never have done in the past either sayin that,
  9. chicken/ turkey carcases, chicken/ turkey necks, turkey wings, whole fish, pork neck bones, pigs trotters, lamb breasts/ ribs, tripe, All good tucker Forgot to add, ox heart too,
  10. The amount you feed obviously depends on the dog's size and activity level (and the size of the rabbit), just saying "it will need more/less than 1 a day isn't good enough. have a look over past threads regarding raw feeding and take a look at "Rainmaker kennels" website, ww.rainmakerkennels.co.uk I think.
  11. cheers for the replies fellas (the sensible ones anyway) I kinda hoped it was a deer, but I guess I really suspected fox, ah well.....he'll have to do
  12. I don't think there are badgers on that particular patch, plus I thought the stones in it may have ruled the foxes out, with so many in it anyway. could we try to stick to sensible answers on this one please fellas,
  13. I was out the other day and came across this? I just wondered if any of you guys and gals could enlighten me as to the culprit? I have half an idea but I'll keep that to me self till I see what you guys think, And just to pre-empt the smart arses, the ferret finder is just for size comparison,
  14. If you are a BASC member you get third party insurance as part of the membership.
  15. Went out for a mooch about the other day, only went to see what was about really on some permission I haven't been to for a while. May's recall is spot on now...... I put one ferret down to see if anyone was home, I waited over half an hour for the bugger to emerge..... Guess what He'd been up to??? Nice couple of hours out with the dog, only had the 1 rabbit but cracking afternoon all the same. Still too much cover here to net up and May's still young so I wouldn't just bolt em all for her, I'll take my mate and his dog along lamping there
  16. The thing is it's not the travellers as such it's the Fu***ng Pikeys (Tinkers, Knackers etc) I Fu***ng hate Pikeys! Nice little dog David,
  17. A catapult and a pocket full of acorns,
  18. I wouldn't worry too much mate, as joe said load it in...... if she does start to pile the weight on cut back a little, certainly nothing to be concerned about, if you're feeding raw, the more complete the carcase the longer it will take to get through it, this will keep her occupied for longer and also make her feel fuller for longer. By the time my lurcher was about 3 months old, she was eating more than my fully grown collie
  19. Then surely once you caught it, it would be gone so how would you know???
  20. just to let you know im going out on your permission tonight, the bit in the middle of the country on the right hope thats alrite with you matty. I don't think he'll mind mate, just so we don't bump into each other, we'll stick to the bit on the left,

  23. got a fair bit of permission round our way im only up the road from dudley in quinton I'm in Solihull (just outside Brum) lads and I've managed it, I guess its in the approach, got about 5000acres for shooting, ferreting etc. your best bet is to firstly ask for ferreting permission, especially on pheasant shoot land (it's quite hard to catch a pheasant with a ferret) turn up smart, be polite, knock the doors yadda yadda yadda, you know the drill; also type up and print a hunting CV and a permission form, even if you get a knock back you can still leave the forms with them, if you
