    Increase it's exercise and reduce its food, simple. It won't happen overnight though.

    Just make sure you have a big stick with you mate . Believe it or not one of the worst things to get in caught in the longnets are bloody hedgehogs, Ba****ds to get out.

    They would never do that mate, as they can't promote the rifles etc that there shooting. Of the youtube clips i've seen the first 30 seconds is advertisements and every other word in the film is realtree, daystate etc. Stopped watching them yonks ago

    Won't be too soon mate, I'm giving my bitch 4 miles at the side of the car twice a day now as well as free running with the whippets. Just hope the crops are down by october!! They've less than half in around here at the moment...

    I always set the tunnels at the bottom of trees on the shoot too mate, and never fail to catch.....

    The new cctv systems have motion detectors that alert you if anyone is around, alerts can be via mobile phone as well as an alarm in the house. Know what you mean about them coming masked up etc. But you have to make it look as though it's not worth bothering even trying. CCTV, The best locks available and a dog that's as keen as they come is all you can do. Since my CCTV has been installed I've not had anyone knocking on the door for scrap, etc so up to now it's having the desired effect.

    Sometimes you don't know how lucky you are do you mate? I can go out on an average night and see between 50-100 rabbits a night. I can go on the back field from my house and catch. As long as your getting out with the dog that's all that matters

    I use a local vet for jabs etc, but for injuries i use Paul Evans in Oldham, it's an 160 mile round trip but i've only ever had to make one journey as he's found and treated the injuries on the first visit. Saves both time and money in the long run.

    You won't go far wrong with strong stuff gear, i use his collars and slips on all my dogs when out lamping. Wouldn't use anything else as you can rely on them

    Shame that mate, will keep my eyes and ears open. It's about time you got your bags packed and came down here for a weeks lamping and ferreting, I've even sorted the dog runs for your dogs buddy and there's plenty of stuff about at them moment. Plenty of geese about on the back fields if you fancy a shot or two at them

    I've had to sharpen most of them Penny due to the high iso and using a slower shutter speed than i would have used if the light had been better. I was using my 100-400 is usm lense and it's f4.5-5.6 wish i'd have put the 70-200 2.8L is usm on but left it at home... It's always the same when i want a few shots of my own dogs. You can see i'm not happy with them as i haven't put a watermark through them.

    Had to set the iso to 1250 to get a shutter speed of 800 when usually in good light i'd set the iso between 200-320 to get the same shutter speed. Always the bloody same when i want to get a few shots of my own dogs!! A shot in better light

    Cheers mate , The lab is almost 7 now but you can't tell her that, she still tries to keep up with the whippets. I still let her out the car on a 3 mile lane and she just runs at the side of the car with the saluki x both ways!!, Just can't tire her out, she's also dogging birds back to the wood for at least an hour a day.
