  6. Someone i know who lives in the next village has one, Not sure if she bought it direct from Dave. It's 6-7 months old and won't beable to be run or be worked as it's got a really bad heart mumour. I think there more non ped type whippets.

  8. There was a company a year or so ago that advertised in the countrymans that ripped a few folk off on here mate, not saying it's the same company. I got all my galvanised panels from doghealth.co.uk delivery was spot on too.
  9. I've a Maver Jurasic 11metre mate, I have 3 top 3's with 14,16, and 18 I always tend to use the 18 for carp and have landed fish to 21lbs fishing the floating pole method. If i'm fishing a commercial fishery with smaller carp etc i use the 14.
  10. I look like a sun dried tomato this morning!!!. I parked under the trees and packed a water sprayer in the coolbox and kept giving the dogs a light spray in the lintran box and they were fine with the boot and windows open... I saw you paulus, Si pointed you out to me but i was waiting to go into the saluki x class. Looked for you afterwards but you must have gone home.
  11. I can remember speaking to you afterwards mate, very kind of you to say so too. I really enjoyed the show as everyone were friendly and we had a great crack in the club afterwards, and it was cheap beer. I will make the trip up again mate, are there any campsites locally as it's a 3 1/2 hour drive. 2 of Vixen's sons made the final 8 in the working whippet championship at the yorkshire gamefair today. One getting reserve best in show. Really pleased with the litter and most of all the homes they went to. There doing well in the field too
  12. vixen wouldve won whippet champion today if she'd been there pal, i won whippet pup and then he got reserve champ,i always thought you couldnt judge a pup with the adults, but they did, personally i thought my pup was better than the bitch, but the bitch wasnt in the same league as vixen, cheers good turn out and good day all round and very hot Vixens 5 now mate, still doing the buisiness out in the field and looking good. Her son Sagar is a chip off the old block. Glad you had a good day. I went to the belvior hunt show and boy was it hot. I parked under the trees and got the bee
  13. She asked how she was bred and if i planned to breed her simonan
  14. Decided to take the camera along this morning on the dogs morning walk and bumped into this fellow. It's not quite as sharp as i'd like it, i had to use an high iso and the light was poor (it was 4.50am) and 2 whippets and a saluki x wern't exactly sat waiting for me to take the photo. It was like trying to hold 3 stunt kites!!

  21. Looking forward to this one, will be great to meet up with a few lads off here. Just called in asda on the way back from taking the dogs for a few cans of beer.
  22. Wether there coursing dogs or lampers/ferreters they all look great when there as fit as a fiddle
  23. I don't even think about doing ANYTHING with a whippet pup until it's at least 10 months old, the phase 'trying to run before you can walk' is all too true. You say he's 8 months old and you tried him a month ago. Thats 7 months old, a pup of that age is both physically and mentally immature it's tendons and muscles just arn't up to work and niether is it's head. Let it be a pup and i can't see the point in giving any pup dropped rabbits, an easy run on the lamp yes but when it's more than capable and fit enough to catch it. Starting a pup at this age is doomed and could result in it being kn
