  1. Looks fine mate, better than not having one at all. There is no way that injury would heal without a splint of some sort as everytime the poor dog moves it would disturb the injury. The vet who has treated the dog upto now should be ashamed of himself, i would tell him so too. He's had your money he should have treated the dog correctly.
  2. I got ready mix concrete from a local quarry, i told them what i wanted it for and they recommended a mix they do for livestock sheds which has a plastisiser in. Cost about £20 more. Well pleased with it, as the piss just runs off. No need to seal it with anything.
  3. I find this quote quite funny as since the sacs website has been updated (almost 2 years ago) the terrier section and lurcher section is still under developement with f'ck all on the page, Yet the shooting sections are full of information. Thats why i went with the NGO as since foxgun tom finsihed with Sacs is like they have wiped there arse with the lurcher and terrier lads. http://www.sacs.org....rriers-c20.html http://www.sacs.org....rchers-c21.html SACS finished it for me [bANNED TEXT] they encouraged members to report lads with terriers out walking I remember that ma
  4. I spoke to a friend who's dog fractured it's hock over the weekend, he took his dog to Paul Evans and he made it a fibreglass splint/cast which stayed on for 6 weeks and with gentle exercise etc the dog has made a full recovery.
  5. Cheers mate, My mate has the black bitch now, she's just had a litter to Sagar ( the one in the middle) Black and black and white bitches and a blue dog in the litter, real stunning pups they are too.

National gamekeeper organisation. http://www.nationalgamekeepers.org.uk/
  7. The breeding has a massive input to how a strong a whippet will be. Vixen my Fawn bitch is 20" and 30-31lbs Sagar my dog (out of Vixen) is 21" and 32lbs
  8. Just put a link to this thread on morrisons facebook page, they should be ashamed of themselves...

  10. I want the brass release mate, the ones in the link you put up last 2 minutes. I've had them and they just arn't up to the job, a strong dog just pulls loose which is embarassing in the field when your with a few lads. No one wants dogs running in. There was a stall at the peterborough show in october that had them on, i think he lives near mansfield but can i hell as find his number. I also want a double toggle slip for the whippets for when i go to ireland in the autumn
  11. I'm wanting a single toggle coursing slip with the brass release, not interested in the cheap chrome ones must be as described. To fit a saluki x greyhound. Cash waiting or will swap for handknitted pursenets etc
  12. You'll only get a satin finish with Linseed mate. You'll be better spraying the with a clear gloss lacquer mate.
  13. why the feck do you need them 7'6 high,,,,,lol  fella your mad not putting a front door on them Cheeky twat are you implying that i'm vertically challenged
  14. If you give me a ring mate i'll give you my landline number and tell you where i am. I've also got a few things here that will make him much more comfortable. In fact give me a prank call and i'll ring you back mate.
  15. Tried pming you my number nottzhunter08 but your inbox is full,
  16. Thats why the poor dog needs bloody painkillers mate because the legs not supported. It's been going on a little too long in my opinion. Get the poor dog to a vet that knows what he's doing mate. Bring the dog over if you want me to put a support bandage on it, i'm in north notts. We even have splints etc in the dog firstaid kit in the car when we go field walking along with painkillers etc.
  17. My ferret courts bigger than that mate, it's going to be a right pig to clean out too. My runs are 8x6, 6x6 and 6x4 all 7'6 high with a roof on, also have concrete runs as the paving slabs stink in the summer. I also have galvanised run sections and the side of the shed is covered in galvanised steel sheet to stop the dogs biting the wood etc, makes washing down much easier too, plus the piss can't soak into anything and start to smell.
  18. Shame, far to far atb with the sale
  19. If it was my dog i'd have been to the greyhound vet by now, not having a pop just saying it how it is. There's been a few threads about injured dogs on here over the past few days, some havn't even been taken ot a vets. If they thought anything about there dogs they would go to the vets first before putting it up here just like Nottzhunter08 did. I treat alot of injuries to my dogs myself but i don't hesitate to get to the vets if it's something i'm not sure about or if it's serious, i owe them that much with the graft they do for me.
  20. thanks mally whats his address and contact number ATB LEE Paul Evans 0161 628 5709 25 highlands road, Royton, Oldham, OL2 5HR
  21. It depends on a few factors mate, i'd be taking the dog to a greyhound vet like Paul Evans they will tell you the truth instead of trying to get as much money as they can from you. If you go to Paul Evans mention 'Mally' he's a very good vet mate, wouldn't take mine to anyone else and it's a 140 mile round trip for me.
